i've been begging for over 5 years.
It certainly seems feasible that MS could be having some OS/software issues. However, to me it also seems feasible that PS4's aren't completely sorted out either. It seems to me that maybe not enough preparation went into this launch. I don't recall seeing any in-depth videos of either operating system.

That sounds ridiculous to me because of how far in the tooth we are with this current gen. But from the PS 1.5 update thread and hearing of the problems MS is having on a technical level it's evident that not enough time went into preparing the software for these machines.

Gonna be fun this November. Hopefully no matter what console you choose the OS or inferior dev tools won't stand in the way of having fun. Console launches are always special around here.

I have no problem with trolls, but some people just need to avoid that stuff for their own good.

Do you think that casuals will care about resolution at all? They will put the discs on their X1 and marvel at their shiny new cod ghosts upscaled to 1080p and make fun at their friends who still have the 360 version.

I'll take a stab...

Neither game is all that technically challenging, but Ghost's engine is a POS and its at the point it needs to be brute forced (see PC specs) into performing highly. Forza's a more polished engine (pun?)...or at least a more modern one that doesn't have pieces of it dating back to quake.

...but I have no clue.

when I put that vid @ 1080p and watch it on my 40'' 1080p TV, it looks practically identical. With only only slightly more aliasing on the 720p version

360 vs ps3 games had bigger differences.

There must be some better native 1080p video on the internet showing the difference between 720p and 1080p, I would really appreciate if someone could post some links for such comparisons.

Using youtube is your first problem and you should not used a movies to see the difference since games are not the same way .

I'm sure Microsoft's execs mandated that there be a single APU from the get-go, which should drastically improve their bottom line and improve die shrinks.

Problem is...they NEEDED eSRAM on the same APU to make that possible and have more bandwidth than DDR3 would provide.

32 was probably the largest they could have gone. The APU Is already gigantic.

Of course they could have just gone with GDDR5...but they couldn't guarantee 8GB of RAM, which was also a project requirement thanks to the OS features they wanted to have for the console.

Should either spill it or keep quiet.

As someone who is getting an Xbox One I still want to know this stuff.

I guess OS problems are one of these issues. What else could it be?

You underrate casuals. Most casuals care about graphics but they don't know about resolution. They will just say my *console* has better grapicks!
