Wii U Browser Screenshot Thread

Wow I didn't know Sonic had DKCR-styled shadow levels!! This gunna be gun when this game will reach my mailbox, tomorrow hopefully.

Also, does Deus Ex looks/perform better on the Wii U than on the PS360 counterparts? I'd like to buy it but I want to justify it's high price, or I'll just wait a couple of weeks to buy it for a deal.
From what I have seen the Wii U version has its own lighting system, and I have noticed that each character has some form of Ambient Occlusion that appears when they are close to a wall, something I have not noticed in the PC version. The PC version has better/clearer textures but that was expected. The Wii U version has a decent framerate, not really an issue. IMO it is the best version.

That looks pretty decent graphically. Thanks. I'd like to see some more if you don't mind. I pre-ordered mine from Newegg so who knows when it will ever be here.

Need a buttload of lives easy? There's a method to get many in the Honeycomb level. Also you can grab massive amounts of animals while doing so.

It's incredible how there's hardly any media for the Wii U version of AC4 out yet. I'm really curious how the WiiU version holds up against the PS4 version. From the bits I've see it seems to use the same water effects on waterfalls as the PS4 version, has see-through water and high-res textures. And the foliage in that early beach part with the seaturtle looks fuller than the 360 footage and more closely resembles what I've seen in the PS4 video. But I haven't seen anything moving from that scene. I wanna know if it has the same foliage tech that moves away when you walk through it or not.

My god, could you imagine if they did indeed make it that close to the PS4 version, then how close Watch Dogs on Wii U could look?! o_O

Granted, WD is based on next-gen tech where as AC4 is a current gen up-port.

Well, at least the moving foliage tech isn't in there. Finally found a video showing that part of the Wii U version of the intro: http://www.twitch.tv/slasherjpc/b/474847352 (16minutes in). I would expect some of the open-sea water is also not as advanced but that's just speculation at this point. The difference are definitely small across all versions, though. Maybe they're more apparent when you're actually running the game on a console and not watch YT videos but so far there's nothing mind blowingly different. This ultimately makes me also hopeful for WD as you say. No reason for it to lag behind a great deal.

Deus Ex has some amazingly high resolution textures in places. Played it yesterday for 14 hours non stop. I am in love. Will share some screens once I'm done with my first playthrough.

Greatness of Offtv is game-based
I've found it great for splinter cell or mass effect for example, while I've an hard time in enjoying it in Batman or Assassins creed. I think it depends on how much the exploration of large scale environments is in the game.
I've appreciated more the map on the second screen in Batman and AC.

Deus ex is something in the middle. I've no problem in enjoying it offtv in terms of exploration (no large scale environment) but the smart vision and the map always available with the enemey positions are too great playint on tv

To be honest, I enjoy Deus Ex on the Gamepad a LOT. It just kind of feels like you're more in the middle of the game. It feels more like the PC games... maybe because you're close up to the screen like on PC.

On the other hand, you lose the dual screen gameplay which is amazing in this game. It's just a shame that they didn't include gyro aiming for the sniper rifles. Would've made the game perfect.

good thing is: we can choose! With this game I prefer playing on the tv because of the map-vision, but when the wife take control of the tv, I switch on the gamepad and I like it that way

That's the best thing about Wii U: you have soooo many options. All of them are valid and in some cases even keep your old peripherals/controllers valuable.

another great think about the Wii U, indeed.
I've saved so much money considering the Balance board, the three Classic Controller Pro, the three remote plus, the two nunchak and the old basic remote I have at home.

Absolutely. I have sleeping problems, so I'm usually awake until 02 or 03 AM, so I take the gamepad to bed, cause my GF has an easier time sleeping when I'm next to her.
And now that winter is coming (lol) it's really comfy to snuggle in a warm bed, playing Deus Ex and Splinter Cell in bed.

Look the same to me.

You can see the compression/JPG artifacts in the first one, which you uploaded to Facebook (it does image compression by default).
Also, compare file sizes: 133KB (first picture) vs 447KB (second picture)
