When people @ the event say "shocking" news etc.. You expect more then the banderas reenactments for an hour.

No big announcements other than Uncharted, but it was nice to see the system launch. To me, the most exciting stuff so far are the third party multiplats like Destiny, MGS V and The Witcher 3, which are also on Xbox One. Looking forward to hearing about more exclusives as time rolls on.

Trying to think of the coolest thing that happened besides Joetonio, and it would probably have to be that Hohokum coommercial putting me in a trance. Looks really cool.

Now that Gaf has recovered from its stroke, that was a waste of time. At the very least they should have shown a 2 second scene showcasing the graphical improvements for Uncharted 4.

Sony really screwed up by hyping this thing up so much, they should've just said "Hey, come celebrate playstation!" and left it at that.

That Uncharted "announcement" was super lazy and TLoU felt out of place. On top of that, they manage to sneak in the bad news that Infamous is being pushed back to march.

I'll be excited when i receive my ps4 tomorrow but i feel kinda bummed after this.

Thought Infamous was coming in out in Feb?

Now we have both Titanfall and Infamous in March.


Really surprised we didn't get a DriveClub update. Its the least they could do with how close the delay was to release.

3 hours of sleep to watch this... no banderas but 2 times the banderas reaction... some new games and Kojima not understanding what "mind blowing" means.

It was totally worth it guys! Win!

Now I can sleep another hour AND I was almost right with my prediction. Not exactly a MGS 1 remake but it was close and a remake isn't as mind-blowing as this exclusive content experience!!!!

We really shouldn't let ourselves get hyped for these Spike.tv things. Looking back on it, it was obvious that it would have been a horrible place to launch anything big, especially the VR headset. You want to do stuff like that in a controlled setting, where you have time to explain it.

Dude, it's Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima. Any "OMG HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT SOON" stuff from them should not be taken seriously.

I dont like how they teased this... They wouldnt reveal which controller he played it on? That makes me nervous that they either want it to be exciting and on ps4, or didnt want to disappoint on ps3.. Hopefully its on the ps4 or on both...

This was a launch, pretty on par. I'd say it was over-hyped rather than underwhelming (besides Kojima thinking a skin is mind blowing). The Banderas reference made me laugh.

How is it that the Sony corporate guys look more like human beings (especially Boyes and Shu) than the 'enthusiast press'?

I'm relatively new here, so I tried to give Geoff Keighley the benefit of the doubt because I think everyone deserves that. But this? Wow. GAF goes down when a random, slightly funny gif is posted and I STILL can't believe GAF went down for this.

I have mixed feelings about this. It's a good way to introuduce a new IP under the same banner of an existing franchise.

In any case, if the Sir Francis Drake route is to be believed, then we can FINALLY do away with the shooting mechanics altogether in favor of a more intense adventure style somewhere between the pop-culture antics of Uncharted and the grounded aspect of TLOU.

Please don't let us down ND and don't fall for the same trap KZ: Shadowfall went through with their design choices.

I got here in the morning after buying starbucks, then they said, "You're number 1 in line" then I said, "Cool" and went home and napped. SUCH AN EPIC LAUNCH STORY!

Fuck. I waited two and a half days for PS3.

perhaps expecting parappa 3 a day after it was leaked was expecting a bit much but that was just lame

"LAST OF US STORY DLC!" = 20 second underwhelming trailer

"MGSV SHOCKING ANNOUNCEMENT!!" = model swap

"UNCHARTED 4!!!" = another 20 second underwhelming trailer

i can safely say that i will never fall for geoff's tricks again ;___;

Because Geoff and that brunette are not "the press", they are hosts. They are television personalities. They should be as indifferent and inoffensive as humanly possible. They are not the media or journalists. Nobody considers Ryan Seacrest a part of the press.

One thing I have come to realize even more is that there is no reason at all to leave the systems I already own yet. It is looking super weak exclusive-wise for the PS4 until Drive Club and inFAMOUS come out.

I'm interested to know what Shu meant when he described what Sony first party studios were working on in a word or two and to describe Sony Bend he said "panic" and Sony Santa Monica he said "I'm scared."

I have been anticipating Sony Bend's next game for so so long I can't wait to see what they're doing on PS4.
