Guys, can anyone try to login to another region account and see whether playing a game under that account works? As other regions (like Asia) PS4's PSN store aren't up yet I'm worried that the console won't let me login to the account.

Wait, people are having tv issues? Because my tv was fine until I did the update. Now I have a gray strip going down my tv. :(

Cold boot is slightly faster than standby boot ?

Weird that cold boot is faster than standby.

He's using a SSHD and these things can act quite strangly while "learning". It's best to wait a week or so to judge SSHD speeds. ^_^

Yeah every time i test it sometimes it takes a little longer and sometimes a little faster. But It's working which is all that matters for now. lol

Also in case anyone is wondering using Pulse headsets via wire works great so far. And a little hidden megaton i haven't heard yet - No more install screens!! download/install all happen in the background. Fucking finally. lol

Booted up fine, whew! No text problems with my Bravia either. Win-win. lol. So happy to see the download fly by. My launch ps3 had the slowest downloads ever.

Killzone time. Woot!

I wonder if this is what was happening with other people that thought their console was DOA.

Same here. I gave up, thinking my PS4 was broken and decided to play 360. No signal found. How about Wii U. Nothing. TV? Nothing? PS3? Nothing. Turned off the TV with the 360 still on, and turned on the TV and got picture back. I was like WTF. Then I plugged in the PS4, turned the TV off and on and voila, a picture.

The annoying thing is I have to turn off and on the TV every time I want to change things.

I really have no idea what It was about the PS4 that did this. I was playing 360 up to 11:40 and went to Gamestop at 11:50 (I live close). Got home at 12:15, setup done at 12:30 and that's when my TV goes nuts. I've never had anything close to a problem with this TV before.

HDMI settings?

This particular set is a little older, but yeah I thought it could be some HDCP problem? I dont really have any settings I can mess with.

I don't have access to the better TV right now, as the gf is asleep in the other room to try somewhere else heh.

I think there might be a bug in the frimware (at least i hope it is).

Is anyone else randomly going to the home menu? I'm not sure if the PS button is super sensitive or what. A couple of times digging through the settings it just randomly switches to the home screen. Time for some Resogun!!

I wonder if the PS4 is shorting through the HDMI port? Sounds like another user had grey bars appear on his screen after plugging his PS4 in.

btw. This thing feels a bit, cheap. lol. So used to my components having that satisfying click sound when plugging things in. Oh well, it's tiny so some sacrifices had to be made.

My PS3 Slim almost killed my TV the first time I plugged it in. Thought the HDMI port on the TV died but it worked a few days later? Hopefully it will work out for you.

With all this stuff going on, I think I'll wait out a little and then get a PS4 around the time Infamous comes out. GT6 shall hold me till then.

Wow that's crazy! What brand and model of TV have you got?

The only plausible reason I can think of is a handshake issue and it's made the TV firmware have a brain fart.
