a steady 30 frames?

the game was dropping frames like crazy during that opening running mission on the Giant Bomb stream.

oh wait, but Treyarch said the same thing about Ghosts being 720p cause they were more concerned about smooth gameplay and we all saw the rock solid framerate in that game too(even on PC)

The Update Mentions,

Fix Various display issues,
Fixed various graphical issues

But doesn't specifically say 1080p, so it could be it?

Downloading the patch, will post a screenshot compared with unpatched version in 10 minutes.
Edit: No need for shots, it's 1080p, very obvious.

But people don't make decisions based in a vacuum, there are other factors deciding which games they play, If someone has only AC4 and a PS4, doesn't have PS+ and isn't interested in any f2p games and are simply not using their PS4 then yea, that'd be odd, But I'm pretty sure 99% of people delaying their playthrough are simply changing the order in which they play their games.

indeed. I don't see what the hell us wrong with waiting a few days to enjoy the developers work in the best possible light.

am I mad whenever I wait for the Blu-ray release of a film that's already out on the downloadable services?

It's a 1080p patch folks, the differences are immediately noticable on my 70" TV.
Let's do a blind test to see if you can see it:

Pretty blatant on my surface pro, without even making them full screen. Huzzah! Can't wait to get home to try in person. I already verified I have the patch installed using remote play.

When Dingbats like Adam Sessler get on soapboxes and ask what the big deal is about 1080p, just look at Cold's screen shot up there. That's a massive difference.

Wow looks tons better in 1080p, think I might pick this up even though I've hated every Assassin's Creed game so far. Launch hype and all that :p

WTF, those screenshots look horrible. Is the game that ugly?

I think we need a better comparison.

The game generally looks horrible compared to Knack and Killzone, but it's to be expected. The water is the best thing about it.

I just tested it. Game definitely looks less blurry.
