Yeah me as well. I actually didn't even start looking at sales until the PS3 gen simply because that's all people wanted to talk about in the console wars. I slowly learned to disregard all sales into as well as any reviews. However the threads on these topics are incredibly entertaining and have become almost a meta-game.

Me too. The core mechanics are in place, all it needs is some diversity in the combat and more platforming and it could be an amazing game.

Also, the UK does not have 1/10th the population of the US, it's more like 1/5th - either way the argument is ridiculous because both markets were supply constrained, they both sold all the consoles available to sell. The only conclusion you can draw is how important Sony deems each market via their supply priorities.

The big difference here is that Titanfall is a Always online game. As such the games content can change alot more dynamically with arguably nothing on the original disc being actually played 6 months from now.

Its very hard for Microsoft to make a exclusivity deal for content that hasnt been made yet, only what the game is now.

If the PS4 does get titanfall, it will be a vastly different game than what it was on the Xbones launch. You cant just stick a character in and sell it as a different product. But microsoft cannot cover all the bases of a game that is designed to change itself dynamically and in real time.

As much as I'd like to see Titanfall on ps4 sooner rather than later, I'd be very very surprised if we saw Sigma happen. Ms would've been completely dumb if they allowed such a loophole to escape them.

At best, I see EA/Respawn announcing Titanfall 2 multiplatform as early as realistically feasible, without the same ambiguity and pretense that Mass Effect 2 had.

In the Andrew House thread he was asked a question about wanting to announce 2 million in sales total after this weekend in Europe and he responded by saying he would like to but it takes time to tally all the sales in every country. So I think they shipped close to a million and probably slightly more if you include black Friday.

Thread is full of win...wasn't it Reggie that started this though when he stated Mario's great reviews and said "too bad sony couldn't get a knack for making platformers" or was that a troll account like the fake kaz?

Either way...press and media alike need to start realizing not every game is made for them. Family and kids seems to love knacks basic gameplay, I think it would've scored higher had it been cheaper though

Knack outselling Mario in the UK isn't surprising.
They also preferred shitty Spectrum and Amiga games over the NES and SNES which had entire libraries of vastly superior games.

I hope that the sales allow them to make a sequel to Knack that expands and refines what was good about the original. There's a lot of potential there.

Really? How did they make the deal with Battlefield? The extra expansions I can tell you not all of them are even made yet or were being developed when they made their deal.

The same can go for COD.

This happens all the time, look at the Extra Ubisoft content for Watch dogs and AC4 the content with aveline. But they made the deal with Sony for it long before the entire game was completed.

Again. Apples and oranges. While the expansions are exclusive maps, the base game is still the same. In fact in anything, it proves my point. Because Titanfall is essentally just a bunch of multiplayer map packs, there nothing Microsoft can do if respawn make a bunch of new ones and release on the PS4. Techically its a totally different game.

One thing is for sure. The Titanfall that releases at launch will never be played on PS4. Im just suggesting a year from launch, the Titanfall everyone is playing may so drastically different Microsofts exclusivity agreement might not mean much.

Every group does...I particularly noticed this smug attitude from Nintendo fans that seem to imply they are the only fans of pure fun gaming experiences like they don't exist elsewhere, or how nintendos style of gaming with its extrnely kiddy star themed art styles could be off putting to some...but we all have our biases...just hope Sony takes knack and does something great with it, solid mechanics but definitely needs to be flushed out and lose the fixed camera
