PS4/XB1 port plz!!!!

I don't even care if the graphics are barely updated. Now that the systems aren't backwards compatible it's a pain keeping ps3 and 360 around.

They'll most likely use the PC version of USF IV for PS4/Xbox One versions.

Guys, the game wasn't even a complete alpha build at the loc tests. There was no presence of character #5, the SFxT stages or any of their new features. They're still building the game. So six months is not unreasonable, as they need to pass through the development milestones from now until Master, and that takes a lot of time.

HOWEVER, there is little excuse for a 7+ week delay for PC and the disc versions. :| The disc versions will be functionally identical to SSF4 w/ the USF4 patch! So what's the hold up?

Only one month to practice for EVO....

That makes me sad, as it means there will probably be no Hugo or Elena played during the tournament, unless of course something super broken is found. I was hoping to see some awesome Elena Timer Scam with Healing.

if the PS4 version carries over the digital cross-buy history to be able to get a rebate on the upgrade, I will bite.

if the PS4 version is full price only = fuck off Capcom

I'm wondering how the PS+ version of AE will handle the upgrade. I have AE for 360 but I'd rather upgrade the PS+ version of AE I now have. Is the upgrade still considered part of AE and therefore goes away if I unsubscribe from PS+?

Mainly avoiding the upgrade because I don't want an abandon ware Street Fighter IV in my library. Fine with the wait if it is a good release, can't say I really care for costumes.

It's made on a game engine designed for systems with a radically different architecture.

I really don't think this is getting ported to PS4/Xbone. Unlike Injustice--an unreal fighting game-- this is using Capcom's own engine /designed/ for current gen. They'd have to completely rework the architecture to even consider up-porting it to this. Like the only next gen engine Capcom has right now is Panta Rhei right? MT isn't designed for next-gen

Does this mean that the PS3 version of the game will finally run well without bad framerates, input lags, etc.? I hope so. Can't stand playing a fighting game with the horrible D-Pad on the 360 controller.

I don't think there's any reason the PS3 version will be different in that regard.

If you paid for it at a rebate using PS+ it's yours forever even if you bought it digitally at a low price. It's yours even if PS+ expires.

If you got it for FREE via PS+, the FREE is tied to PS+. If PS+ expires, your FREE become inaccessible until you renew it again

P4A2 is a summer release. I dunno if they'd crowd Xrd around that time as well.

But then again, Arc and Sega are separate companies so maybe they will.

Honestly, I was expecting Xrd around March/April. Im not liking the idea im gonna have to wait at least 7/8 months for a decent PS4 fighter.

Isnt P4A2 PS3 only anyway? It wouldnt crowd Xrd in any case. I wouldnt want to play a Unreal based fighter on the PS3. *Shivers*

On console?

No chance.

Doesn't even have an arcade date yet.

Winter 2014 at the earliest would be my bet

I really really really hope you are wrong. No way am I playing shitty injustice for a year. No way.

Yeah, it's the second situation for me since AE was on the PS+ free game rotation for a bit. Oh well, might just upgrade my PC version instead.

Xrd is PS3 as well so....

Console ports usually trail the arcade releases about 6 months for arcsys games anyways. So it all depends on when the arcade version is actually coming.(Will probably be announced at the loketest happening pretty soon this month)

Yeah, it's PS3 exclusive after the Arcade version. Same with Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, except it's cross gen with PS3 & PS4 after the Arcade version.

I'm sure that the games would be optimized well on the PS3, since they're probably making the games with PS3's hardware in mind (like Namco usually does with the Tekken series, in which the Arcade versions are always ran off of Playstation's hardware).

People having only a month to mess with the game before EVO will either make it suck or be awesome (due to possibly random results). The changes to the mechanics in this version will possibly (probably) have much more of an impact than the changes that were made in the past two iterations. I expect lots of funky stuff during EVO.

I wouldn't be buying the add-on if they didn't allow me to use my SSF4 disc as a base. The AE I have from PS+ takes up a quarter of my hard drive.

Also, I suck at this game so I might as well start practicing to get my ass kicked all over again.

Proudly debt free. If you need a couple bucks, just ask.
How can they announce a delay when the game is 8 months off. Makes no sense

Welp, time to dust off the Xbox and renew my membership to Xbox Live for at least 3 months lol. I was actually planning on doing that anyways simply for the better comp, but it sucks because many players are PC only now and they'll have to come back to console for this game or they don't even own one now or never had.

Still at least they made it before EVO which is a good thing. Can't wait to see what the final changes will be and what people can do with their 1 month Elena's or Rolento's.

An eighth month wait for an expanded version of a game on two video game consoles which are being phased out is not very promising.

I agree with this delay. Infamous: Second Son in March followed by Watch_Dogs in April/May and then Ultra Street Fighter IV in June. They couldn't have planned this better. :D

I think this is a no brainer for any next gen upgrades just use the PC version as a base and port away.

I just hope GAIKAI runs some of the more obscure XBLA/PSN stuff that released since sales weren't terrific on things like SFIII and Darkstalkers as the gen dragged on. Otherwise there's always GGPO I guess.

So uh, is EVO in September now or something.

You know the same timeframe from release to EVO went down with AE too, right? This is nothing new.

I don't think it's a delay if this is the first time a date is announced :p

This. Using the PC version of the game for next gen consoles shouldn't take Capcom much time to do that at all, as both Xbox One & PS4 could easily handle that version of the game without any problems, especially when PS4/Xbox One also uses x86 architecture.

The only thing that Capcom would have to do, is to configure/translate the controls for Xbox One & PS4, along with making online multiplayer work very well for the next gen console versions (PSN on PS4 & XBL on One are very different from XBL/PSN on PS3/360, which is another reason to use the PC version).

Fuck their shitty concession for the late PC port, fuck how long it's taking, fuck how early they announced it, fuck everything. Hype deflating yo

did they clarify what's they're doing with ssf4:ae gfwl?
is it going to be updated for steamworks, or are we forced to buy the upgraded edition

Anyone who expects AE PC to get upgraded to remove GFWL is probably in for a sad surprise. Also IIRC Capcom doesn't do their own PC ports, so that might explain the delay. I'm sure they'll be giving away the PC version to anyone who enters USF4 at EVO, so that's something too.
