This looks terrible. Couldn't they have picked a more competent developer to collaborate with? When was the last time Tecmo Koei made a good game?
Next Level Games?
Monster Games?
I'm guessing they don't count for [reason] though.
I like the DW games but I'm just sort of indifferent towards this. Between the active platforms there are literally like a dozen other options to get your Musou fix. This seems like the worst possible choice for a collaboration that will get people excited and attracted to Wii U for that very reason.

just hoping for 60fps and local coop tv+gamepad...
True, but I was talking about collaborations with the big publishers in the west
and they're developing games in already existant ips....
That looks really horrible imo. Atrocious art-direction too.
Damn, why not do this good if you have the chance?
I'm only disappointed by the fact that Nintendo declined Retro's Sheik game, but are approving of this. I'm sure Retro would have made a better hack'n slash title.
Anyway, the Warrior titles are good fun and I'm sure this one will be too. Even if it's damn ugly.
Are Nintendo ever gonna collaborate with western third party developers?
True, but I was talking about collaborations with the big publishers in the west, since they wont port much to Wii U.
But Retro can make better than mindless hack and slash games.
Silly old me.
"Dozen" of proper musou fix?
DW
Gundam
Samurai (defunct?)
One Piece (PS3 only)
FOTN
Orochi
Further, it looks like the series' availability outside of a Sony platform looks sketchy at best (looking like going forward only the proper series is making it to MS?). So at the least it's another option, and at the most it gives a musou option on a Nintendo platform, and a new musou game on a non-Sony platform.
Overall it's a clear win. And it's unlikely to be taking massive resources away from Tecmo or any away from Nintendo.
up next... Dynasty Warios.

I like that they have a girl version of Link for a change. For Wii U from Tecmo Koei.
up next... Dynasty Warios.
Especially the decision to use those stupid red mobilins, one of the worst character designs in any Zelda game.
Anyone noticed the weird enemy popup at 0:36? :s
Which of the big publishers in the West want to even touch Wii U? None.
