This is a proper sale, not like that 12 days of christmas garbage

Is ni no kuni good? I did not care for the demo at all is the demo representative of the gameplay?
Dissapointed that the atelier, disgaea and mgs vita games aren't on sale :( those are the ones I want

I haven't played the demo but yes it is very good imo, I'll steal one of the phrases used in the Tearaway OT: It's charming as fuck. At this price it is a steal.

God damn, that's one heck of a way to top the underwhelming 12 deals of christmas.

I'll probably grab a few games from there.

Why is Farm Sim still £18.50 yet NNK:WWW is only £6.50! Crazy world.

Yo Sony, for a tenner I'm so there, down on the farm, I want a brand new combine harvester...

Brothers on PSN in Australia; $21.95. On sale; $15.29
Brothers on XBL in Australia; $14.95. On sale; $4.93.

Wow. How much is it on Steam?

XBL and PSN always have such large differences. It goes both ways but damn, Brothers is on sale on both atm so it makes my choice easy.

US$7.49

Though I wouldn't trust that PSN price just yet, as that list is riddled with prices that are clearly wrong. SCEE gonna SCEE.

I'd buy Dead Space 3 and Resi 6, but i have a feeling they will be part of PSN+ at some point.
SFIV IV arcade too probably. mmmm

Yeah, they are definite PS+ candidates, but the prices are good enough for me to take that risk (or, well, not risking to not get them on PS+).

Hey look another crappy..... wait what, a decent sale from Sony? It's a Christmas miracle!

I like to go 100% physical to have a sexy collection, but damn, there are some mighty tempting things here.

I'm more interested in the combat than the charm, that's what looked bad in the demo to me but the demo was kind of short

Thanks for posting this

I just went to PSN and Borderlands 2 is still 299kr? Maybe it goes live later today for continental Europe?

Holy shit. This sale is massive!

Kung Fu Rabbit
Was €4.99/AU$7.35/£3.99, now €2.49/AU$3.67/£1.99

Jet Set Radio
Was €7.99/AU$11.75/£6.49, now €3.99/AU$5.87/£3.24

SSX
Was €29.99/AU$39.95/£19.99, now €8.09/AU$10.78/£5.39

Will definitely grab these. There's a few others I might consider depending on how my poor wallet fares.

I Wanna Be The Guy

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
Lots of stuff there. Almost nothing I actually want. Strangely enough there were more things I wanted in the 12 days of christmas sale. Might get Puppeteer if I'm not getting it for christmas tomorrow. I know my parents are either getting me Batman Arkham Origins or Puppeteer for christmas. Hopefully it's Batman so I can bite on Puppeteer sale.

No Sony just like ripping Australians off, I can go on my PS3 and 360 right now and show you the differences. It is pathetic, Sony don't get called out for it though because Australia is a small market, but they are ripping us off hardcore. If something is $5 on XBL, it is likely $7.35 on PSN. $15 on XBL, $18 or $21 on PSN. Really sick of it, and I though MS ripped me off sometimes. Jeez.

That AUS PSN price has to be a mistake,

It isn't a mistake when I can give you a hundred other examples unfortunately.

I called out Jawad on it multiple times on the PS Blog and he finally replied with something like "due to various reasons I really can't comment on it". They're well aware of the poor currency conversion discrepancies (New Zealand gets it even worse), but have no intention of fixing it.

If you have already 'purchased' a game free with PS plus, can you then purchase the same game again so you can keep playing when your PS plus subscription expires? If so how?

Sorry for my bitching, but I usually speak for both AU and NZ. I know we have it bad, but yeah, you Kiwi's get it so much worse. Feel sorry for our brothers in NZ, they have even less of a voice.

Here's my potential hit list, can I get any opinions on ones to avoid, either because it's not worth the price or because it's just not good at any price?

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - £3.95
Mass Effect (played it before but I no longer have a 360, and can't comfy couch my PC version; is the PS3 version any good?) - £3.95
Mass Effect 2 (same as above) - £5.39
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - £6.59
Muramasa Rebirth - £9.99

Terrible of Sony to treat AUS/NZ like that. I thought we had it bad in the UK/EU...Seems raising a stink doesn't get results either.

Maybe set up an EU/UK account? Not ideal, but it has to be better than getting fleeced by Sony...

Mass Effect 1 on PS3 is better than the 360 version. So is the 2nd (even better).

(Mass Effect 2 on PS3 was made with the ME3 engine, so it didn't use the old engine the 360 version got. ME1 on PS3 has less performance issues that plagued the 360 version).

Dead Space 2 (Not available in Germany)
Was €29.99/AU$39.95/£19.99, now €8.09/AU$10.78/£5.39

Dead Space 3
Was €69.99/AU$99.95/£59.99, now €7.69/AU$10.99/£6.59

Why is DS3 slightly cheaper? Kinda funny, might snatch it up with Dantes Inferno for some good lulz + Borderlands 2

As I said, I haven't played the demo but I don't think it would accurately represent the combat since the range of different familiars you can get and choose to level up for each of your characters adds a level of complexity and strategy to the combat which may not be present in the demo. Maybe watch some gameplay videos on youtube? I would at least give it a chance, especially if you have PS+ and can get discounted PSN cards.

Is SSX 60 fps ? I also remember the demo controls being totally different than those of the older ssx games but not much else , only played it for 2 minutes a long time ago

Holy shit there are some amazing deals in there. One or two truly lolworthy efforts as well though. lol at One Piece PW2.

Ridge Racer Unbounded and Ni No Kuni are absolute steals at those prices though.

edit: Maybe hoping for a bit much here, but I don't suppose the DLC for Dragon Age 1 and 2 is on sale as well, seeing as the two games are on fire sale pricing?

Brothers - that looks excellent and at that price I can't say no.

Also Ni No Kuni is an excellent price. Perhaps pound for pound the best value game on that list.

It's not 60, and yea the trick controls are quite different, more like the Skate series. You have the option to change back to the traditional type though.

Fuck me, there goes my money... There are a ton of games on that list I was planning to pick up next week (mainly VITA stuff). I'll get them on the cheap now. These prices... SO GOOD!

I'm tempted by all these. EA are actually putting some great deals in this sale! I've already got Burnout Paradise and Mirror's Edge on disc, but for that price I'll gladly DL them instead.

Does Bad Company 2 still have anything of an online audience on PS3?

Honestly, PS+ is amazing value, but it is worthless for me. I get 100GB a month with slow speeds, so it is absolutely out of the question. If I ever get any trials, I'll be sure to post them on NeoGAF for someone else to use. Just disappointed that they can't address the rort that AU/NZ have to deal with (on XBL, it is EU/UK that get shafted luckily...for me at least).

It's weird though, because full retail games on PSN seem to be much cheaper most the time when on sale....but I never buy full retail games digitally though lol.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Wow...

And Puppeteer at half price, get it if you haven't.

PSN seems to always have the worst price gouging here when it comes digital software and it's $14.95 (USD) on Steam without the sale price LiquidSolid said.

Depressingly the original price is right, it's $21.95 on the Australian PSN.

OT:
eu store doesn't seem to be updated

I wonder if there'll ever be a sale for disgaea or the mgs games:\

Oh no, I don't mean the PS+ monthly games. They're great even though I own half of them but what I meant was, for example, a game on our store is $22.99, however if you have PS+, you get it down to $22.40. This is horrible if you compared it with US PS+ holders. They get discounts on top of a discount. E.g. US price game, was $44, discounted to $30, PS+ membership holders get it for $20. I've seen this so many times and I'm getting sick of it.
