Kazushige Nojima (scenario writer) wants Final Fantasy X-3 to happen

And I'm sure it's going to.

It'll probably be the next game Toriyama directs as much as it pains me to say so.

But X-2 is good, so maybe that's alright?

I honestly wouldn't like to see it, I think FFX should have ended without a sequel (original ending).

I would be completely fine with this. Day one purchase.

As long as it doesn't screw up FF X-2's perfect ending. Shit made me so happy after X's ending.

Hit or miss. People consider him MUCH preferable to Toriyama on the writing front.

I'm personally a fan of nearly everything he's done and consider him to be SE's 2nd best contracted writer (just below Kato).

Good SE, assuming he's not a freelancer now, which I believe he is.

He's the scenario writer for FFVII, FFVIII, and FFX, off the top of my head. Currently writing FFXV.

With the new characters (with horrible names from what I remember) in the voice drama that comes with the game and the X 2.5 novel, I can see X-3 already in the stages of being planned.

What would the story be about? A continuation with old characters? Or new ones? Or some kind of spin off/alt universe type deal?

I dunno but it would be interesting....maybe.

No longer a SE employee. Responsible for FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, and upcoming FFXV.

If FFX-3 were to happen, I want them to make a prequel. Braska, Auron and Jecht's adventure might be interesting. Certainly more than the lame Yuripa fan-service game.

Ugh. Just ugh.

Creative stagnation or trying to relieve past victories? Can't decide. I miss the days when each new Final Fantasy was a new game, new world. Doesn't help that only the more vapid entries seem to get the sequel treatment.

Nojima did those games eh? FFX is good, but not great in terms of story. I don't know how they will expand on it. At least, no Tidus please.


On the other hand, SE should not make a sequel to FF games. Those never work.

Horrible idea, which I hope never gets realized. Make some new fucking games, Square. And no, your shitty iPhone "remakes" don't count.

I think saying "Third FFX" would be a better title, I know there's a limit but still.

This could be anything. A prequel would be amazing.

A sequel... eh, not sure what they'd do.

But I'd buy it regardless.

If anything is happening it's FFX-3.
