It's incredible how you've taken her response to a common (and silly) criticism and somehow turned it into some imagined slight or sign of poor knowledge against the character. This is like some Hollywood "angry nerd" stereotype bullshit.
I think some people didn't quite get she was kind of making a joke. The question was basically about her ability to physically and accurately represent Wonder Woman who is a large breasted amazon and Gadot's reply was that Wonder Woman herself does not physically and accurately represent an amazon so "accurate representation" is somewhat of a silly notion. I don't see how that was meant to be taken seriously. It was a ridiculous question to begin with so I really liked her answer. She could have just been a dick and said, "I don't remember Perry White being black in the comics."

This is just bizzare. The whole thing. Is it her acting or physical appearance that's bothering people? Cause if it is, she's beautiful and the movie hasn't been made yet, i don't see the problem

At least this gives me hope that we get a Wonder Woman in the movie that matches Azz Version of the character and not one of the more problematic versions. As many of the better known Wonder Woman versions are just bland and terrible (and do not match with the more awesome Wonder Woman in the comic books), it may be for the best that she has not a "half" knowledge about the character.
And I love the accent, if she is able to adjust it just slightly with mediteran influences she would ace it. And with a bit of luck the poor woman will get to wear actual pants in the movie.
Totally hopeful to see the trinity onscreen after Goyer's script gets a rework and Affleck seems to be genuinly onboard to give this movie his best.

I really, really like Azzarello's Wonder Woman and want that to be the base for this movie. I don't think the writing and acting talent here can pull it off, nor do I think they are even aware of it.

It is both she is like the perfect storm of bad for choosing a wonder woman. Shes not that great of an actress along with being physically small. Also if anyone compares gal gadot being wonder woman to heath ledger being joker their is a problem with that, with heath ledger at least we knew going in he was a really good actor. With Gal Gadot you have none of that. She does not have the acting skill to fall back on. No one can say hey at least shes a great actress even though she may not be the ideal choice for wonder woman.

The movie made krypton's atmosphere as kryptonite. So I guess Batman will salvage and recreate that part of the ship, locks himself in together with Supes and have cage match.

She needs to add at least 20 pounds and not all muscle but there's not much that can be done to change her body type that's ever going to put her close to resembling Wonder Woman. She best have something special be it chemistry or something else because there's there's more than a few women with more experience and likely better actresses than her that could've fit the part better in terms of resembling the comic counterpart.
Of course she knows ziltch about Wonder Woman, I think it's pretty bad, even if a unintended typo to post a message on social media (this case Twitter) and not getting the character's name right. I hope that translation is losing some sort of humor from her answering the question...

For reasons unexplained her role was cut from ASM2 and there was an awful lot of noise from comic nerds about how she was too ugly to play MJ. Take from that what you will.

PROBABLE SPOILERS for ASM2:
All signs point to Gwen dieing in the movie ala the comics (outfits, Green Goblin, MJ starting to show up). Apparently MJ's part in the movie wasn't that big to begin with (probably a few non-plot vital scenes) and I think they thought it would make Peter way too unlikable if he was flirting and sparking a relationship with this new girl in the same movie his GF dies a horrible death. Especially since we all know he will eventually end up with her. So they cut her out.

I think it's the more probable reason and I think you're also giving too much power to internet fanboy voices. The internet campaign/backlash to get Affleck off Batman vs Superman was exponentially bigger and easily more important to that film's success, yet Affleck is still here.
Not saying there wasn't dumb backlash for Shailene Woodley or that she won't be recast, but I would bet the majority of the audience for that movie didn't even realize the character was ever going to be in it.
For me, it's mainly about her physique. She's a stick figure. She looks like she would struggle with just the bench press bar. How many athletic women do you know? Gadot looks nothing like one. She's going to need the most intense training schedule Hollywood can come up with.
Wonder Woman is supposed to be able to hold her own against Superman. She's been training to be a warrior all her life. Gadot looks like she's never been to a gym in her life.
Day 1 for me, though. I really enjoyed MoS
