How about something more exciting than a wave of Runner/Joe Danger 2, a 50/50 Starbound roulette. One of these keys is for Bad Rats, the Citizen Kane and White Album of gaming combined, and Starbound, some hipster pixel game that wishes it was as a bit as good as Bad Rats.
Starbound is actually very good and worth $15 easily and it's still in early beta.
Have fun!

This an evil plan I guess both are Bad Rats. xD

Looks like I can happily cancel my refund now. A Starbound key was added to my Humble order as well. Good of them to get more keys for those of us that missed the original 1000 keys by mere seconds.

Haha, it put a smile on my face how in Dust the
floor tiles from Bastion started spawning to form the way to Kid's cage.

Hopefully Ride to Hell Retribution can become the new Bad Rats once it gets cheap enough. It's rocking a 16 metascore.

If I didn't already own Starbound, I would have entered for Bad Rats. Too bad.

Redone boss fights, Missing link integrated in main storyline, added dev commentary, removed piss filter (sadly)

This is the only reason I paid $5 -- I wanted to see what "fixed" boss fights were, since I played the game on the hardest difficulty required for achievement, went with a full stealth build for the achievement of no kills, and was stupid enough to get the "upgrade" that is really a "downgrade" before boss fight 3. And I still didn't have a problem with the boss fights.

My curiosity to play the "fixed" versions of these fights (and liking the feeling of the shooting mechanics) made me figure it was worth the $5 "upgrade".

So Alpha Protocol is really good. It really feels like Mass Effect 1, in the sense that it could use some work. If they'd do an Alpha Protocol 2 a la Mass Effect 2, it could be the awesomest spy game ever. Make the combat a bit more fun, a little less points-dependent, and give the dialog system a bit more clarity, and you've got yourself a winner.

Yeah, it's really too bad there will probably never be an AP 2. I thought that game nailed the choices and consequences angle like very few games in recent memory (better than ME imo). Overall good storytelling and writing too. It's just too bad the combat and action stuff was so janky. Definitely a foundation that if improved in the combat aspect could make for an amazing sequel if it were to ever happen. The spy stuff was such a unique setting for an action-rpg too.

Just noticed that Battle Worlds: Kronos has a demo. So I'm going to give that a go.

It is probably my most wanted game on steam at the moment, so I'm hoping it doesn't kill my interest!

I should finish the game. I stopped playing it around the 4 chapter, cuz I thought it was a bit easy even on hard mode. The combat is good, albeit a bit "automatic".

Director's Cut runs on an older version of the engine and has some bugs and degraded visuals.

This makes no sense. o_O

It's a shame, yeah. Obsidian knows how to make great games.

Brothers and The Swapper both on sale. This is one of the best sales ever.

Keep in mind brothers will be $3 from Amazon shortly (with the $5 credit that a lot of people can probably help with).

But yeah, buy the swapper. It didn't quite click with me for some reason, but I can still say it is an awesome game.

Honestly the combat jankyness never bothered me, with the correct skills thornton was an unstoppable force anyway. I vaguely remember the pistol and invisibility being way overpowered.

So instead of ending up with a refund (the other games are cool, but I really wanted Starbound), the Humble Bundle folks got more keys and I ended up getting Starbound.Yay!

Anyhow, I won and redeemed Surgeon Simulator 2013 earlier today from Newblade and now have another key for it. Whoever wins it, please thank Newblade for his earlier generosity as well as the Humble Bundle folks for doing right and getting folks their Starbound copies. =)

I also found another key for a previous HB game. Enjoy!

What is Kingdom Rush on Steam exactly? Hard to find info on it. Is it just the flash version? Mobile version? Rebalanced because it had IAP?

Runner 2 is well made. They put a lot of love into the presentation. It's got this old Rocky and Bullwinkle style going for it.

A different dev handled DC and instead of using the latest build of vanilla it seems their work started on an older version. There was a patch over a month ago but there are still a lot of little problems and it doesn't seem like there's going to be anything done about it.

So you wouldn't recommend it over the og version?
In terms of what I think is the better version to play through, I recommend vanilla. But the DC is still worth picking up if you're interested in the commentary, I thought it was worth the (discounted) price of admission alone.
