Keep in mind that I'm not sure if it's pain that sharpens or irfan that blurs.
Possibly both! I'm not sure.

After a quick test it seems paint sharpens a wee bit. You'd be better off using Irfanview, which is free, but best off using Photoshop, which isn't. That bicubic resize is some magic. If you're interested I have comparison results.

Looks like a painting. Amazing.
I still have the raw 1620p SMAA high images if you want them.
Is that regular bicubic? Or smoother or sharper`?
This thread always makes me feel an unhealthily strong urge to upgrade my PC even though I have absolutely no real need to do so. It also reminds me how much I don't need to worry about my plans not to buy the new consoles.
I also really like the insane Dark Souls shot on the previous page.
consoles are heading to 1080p now, 1600x900 will no longer suffice for ma shots.
That was before they doubled the RAM.I heard the ps4 does 8k
irfanview downsample is blur. I use it with "Apply sharpen after resample".

Why didn't they tessellate the top of his head?
War Thunder
Is it just me or the does the plane in that 4th shot look like it's just sitting on a table that happens to look like a landscape?
Hahaha, I thought the exact same thing at first glance.I was more concerned about who the hell forgot to remove the watermark on the picture, until I noticed it was part of the paint scheme.
