Tread warily guys, these leaks are fake as heck and honestly a lot of them are too good to be true.

He has! He stated you bet on monsters fighting one another and cannot personally fight in it, though they may consider the latter as DLC.

The coliseum mode is a mini-game at Altissia, but it’s not a mode where you’ll enter and participate in a fight. There’s a battle coliseum feature where you’ll get to participate by betting on monsters. Square Enix will add more post-launch content for the coliseum after release.

Yep! These leaks are so fake it hurts. There's just too much in the way of fan wet dream stuff for them to be real, outside of the obvious errors made in the coliseum and the fast travel with already confirmed warp points, chocobos and airships.

Square Enix really should start marketing the console version more. It's a bit odd that they show so very little. There is still enough time to start doing that though. I just hope the consoles won't be too much of a bottleneck for the game.

Yeah, TLoU is one of the prime examples I tell people about, who don't understand the nature of game development and how often games only really come together a few weeks before release, in the case of TLoU it was almost unplayable from start to finish until two weeks or so before the master submission according to Druckmann/Straley during a post-mortem talk.

For people late to the thread, the OP ended up being down to a weird user who had like 12 different accounts between 4chan and Gamefaqs, and had endless arguments between his sockpuppets, basically shitting up every FFXV thread for years with fake theories. People found he'd been doing this for years beforehand with FFXIII too and made all sorts of R34 porn of FF characters.

He was a really weird person who was also behind the Kingsglaive spoilers, a bunch of stuff he said was contradicted by stuff that had already been announced/shown, didn't make any sense on its own, or was contradicted later.

That's one passionate hater. How can people hate a videogame so much? It's just a videogame.

Despite joking around in this thread, I honestly have no comment on anything with regards to the game that hasn't been specifically revealed by Square Enix to public. Because I worked on the game, anything I do or say can (and has been) used to further an agenda, be it positive or negative regarding the product, and I value our working relationship with Square Enix and all our other clients to risk accidentally misrepresenting them or their products via personal opinions.

Heck, moderation actions right before Uncovered to help curb spoilers in a spoiler-free thread came under pretty close scrutiny.

Anything shown at E3, yeah I'll opine on that and engage in discussion.

edit: Similarly, as I noted earlier in the thread, just because I post in here doesn't represent an implicit confirmation nor denial of any rumors. Not anything posted on 4chan, not anything posted on GameFAQs.

It really is as simple as that. Any action can pretty much be re-interpreted by people any way. I'm fully aware that inaction can similarly be re-interpreted, but at least I've stated where I stand on all this.
