I failed by about three books. My year turned out much differently than I'd planned. Instead of being divorced and alone -- with plenty of time to read -- my wife and I reconciled and I got a new job, which ate up a bunch of free time. I am definitely not complaining, though. I'll upload my list later.

Edit: Wait, do graphic novels count?

Edit: Wait, do graphic novels count?

Depending on length. Yes. If you believe you have had read the equivalent of a novel experience, I'd say yes. Same to regarding a Shakespearean work. I'd say reading a play counts as one entry.

How many did you end up reading?

Based on that math, right around 50. But I would rather count them as one and strive to do better this year.

That is fair enough, but those were official guidelines, not our own interpretations, so I'm going to put you down for 50 books. ;)

And tons more who were left to the wilderness... a year is a long long time. I should add that there were several gaffers in the book thread that blasted past fifty books too. Have a look in the December 2012 book thread, for ideas, inspiration etc..

ps. stars should link to last update. If you do have a master post, and/or intend to post a new one, please feel free, I'll update where I can...

Good luck to all those who are trying this in 2013.
