Stopped following Tennis after Nadal's loss vs. Wawrinka at the finals. Is Nadal back in shape?

He had a subpar year (by his standards) in 2016. He finished in the top 10 but struggled to go deep in slam draws. He said he was going to train like crazy in pre-season but it remains to be seen if he's still capable to win another big tournament.

It's the duty of all of us to repost the banner at the top of every page!

Meanwhile, what's with the shaky starts? Sign of an unpredictable year in tennis? Or just an overly hot day down under?

Four majors won and one major shy of passing Graf, and no highlight video?

Its really hot atm and Coco Vandeweghe was throwing up on the court, but she still won. temps will drop 25 degrees in a couple of days so heat won't be an issue for the players on Wednesday

Is this the Federer Beard Era? I like it. I wonder if his contract with Gilette expired.

Amazing how he won 15+ consecutive points yet still lost that set, losing 5 games in a row or so. Melzer really brought it up a notch.

Federer tuned up his backhand in his time off. His grip is slightly more western I think, it was working very well in the final set.

I don't like the new look of his racquet.

It was a quickly put together OT and honestly I went with the matchs which came to my mind first. They're here because they are fun to rewatch, not because the best players of all time were involved. But feel free to direct me to great Australian Open highlights involving Serena and I'll gladly add them to the OP. :)

It's the 10 year anniversary of Serena dismantling Sharapova in the finals

Stosur is playing now, I'll check back in an hour to see her outed. I feel bad for thinking this way but she brings it on herself.

Goffin just escaped a close one.

Opelka had that shit. He had a lot of break points near the end of the 5th set, didn't convert, then played a loose service game and loses that. You see that happen a lot with the younger/inexperienced guys. He's only 19 hopefully he'll learn from it

I miss when I didn't have the schedule I have to keep now and I could stay up and watch this every night. Nothing tomorrow so I will stay up some and watch. Caught the tail end of Rafa.

Niraj

I shot people I like more for less.

Yeah that game he got broken at love in was just terrible

This Medvedev kid still acts like a dick. He's glaring at the linesmen after every point thinking they are missing calls. Medvedev was also the guy who last year was defaulted from a match for accusing one of the linespersons of being a racist in favor of black people. ( He was playing Donald Young I believe )
