I hope Nintendo realizes that they have a huge hole in their library and make Vanquish their exclusive TPS.

All that says is that they aren't dead.
And if they hair monsters Balder killed were the actual demons, they would be.
Is Kamiya writing Bayonetta 2?
I know he insisted on writing VJ2.

And you know this, how?
Mikami is making Zwei and that's probably for the PS4 and Xbox3.

I am still supervising the world, story, characters, etc. in close coordination with Hashimoto, and I have been from the very beginning. You have nothing to worry about on that end. And of course, plenty of members from the first Bayonetta are on-board and working hard under the direction of Yusuke Hashimoto, so I look forward to work every day, coming in and seeing all the progress they have made on the game.
Because I saw what he did to them?
The cardinal virtues survived pretty horrible defeats: Fortitudo lost his dragon heads and got a massive hole in his main head, Temparantia.... actually got off relatively easy(it only got punched in the face and then burned), Iustia got Crushed, and Sapientia got reduced to nothing but a head. The demons Bayonetta summons seem to be on about the same level of power, so whose to say they can't survive horrible shit?
I don't believe those returning bosses were the same bosses. Even if they survived, they were all sucked down into hell to be eaten by demons.

I'm pretty sure that's his point
they were alive until then despite their injuries
I'm not talking about Courage, Temprance, Justice, and Wisdom; those are just lame ripoffs. The Cardinal Virtues, on the other hand... I dunno what's goin on with them after they were pulled into Inferno. Maybe they were killed, maybe they're just being tortured for eternity, but that doesn't really matter. My point was they were alive AFTER being otherwise ripped apart by Bayonetta and her demons.
They can make a sequel without him. Would be interesting if Kamiya directed it. Last time RE 2 was born out of the premise "Kamiya making a sequel to Mikami's game".Mikami is making Zwei and that's probably for the PS4 and Xbox3.

Well, still, considering the pedigree of people working at Platinum, I wouldn't be to worried about the quality of the sequel to Vanquish!Kamiya doesn't want to direct it. I asked him that, too.
Gomorrah got its neck snapped and collapsed and a couple of other ones were just blown to pieces. None of the virtues were ever in that kind of shape.
Really now?
Fortitudo, talking with most of his head missing.
And Sapientia?
Still alive after that.
Also, there were no "couple of others". Gomorrah and Scolopendra were the only demons summoned against Balder.
Well what the hell happened to gomorrah if he didn't die, then?
Went back to Inferno, probably.
Its neck was broken and it collapsed. If that hair incarnation of it didn't die, why did breaking its neck do anything at all?
Our entire debate is over whether or not the demons are being summoned through use of hair as a catalyst, or the hair takes the form of a construct shaped like a demon. Why would I make an argument off of the assumption that "hair incarnation" is even a thing?
The point is, if that wasn't a separate incarnation of gomorah, gomorrah would be dead, because whatever that thing was obviously died. But gomorrah is not dead so Bayonetta obviously doesn't summon the actual demons to fight for her.
Or maybe high level demons, like high level angels, can take lots of abuse before keeling over?
O...k...? Hair Gomorrah did keel over, though. Guess it wasn't a high level demon! Unlike actual Gomorrah, who is just fine.
"Keel over" as a figure of speech for dead. Also, incapacitation is a thing that exists.
So, what you're saying is that getting its neck broken just put Hair Gomorrah to sleep?
Alright. I know I'm right. You know I'm right. You just keep playing dumb. There's clearly no point in keeping this up since you're never going to admit what you know is true.
Based on what information? It's called "summoning" isn't it?As far as I know, the demons bayonetta summons are using her hair as a vessel to interact with that world. They aren't really there, but the hair acts as their avatar. Balder killed the vessel, but the demon itself is just fine.
Based on what information? It's called "summoning" isn't it?
You are summoning 'it'. Not it's body, but it's spirit, which manifests itself through some vessel, which bayonetta chooses as her hair. It's a similar concept that was used for the lesser demons of DMC, which can only manifest in the real world by having their spirits take over certain objections, like Marionettes.
If nothing else, think of it like this. Questioning why Gomorrah didn't die because it's vessel died is like asking why don't you die when Bayonetta does.
Not that I don't believe you, but source please?
Bayonetta Game Manual said:Wicked Weave techniques use Bayonetta's hair as a conduit to summon forth demonic entities.
What do you mean? Unless I'm missing something conduit and vessel are more or less synonymous with this context. I just went and checked my Bayonetta manual to make sure that it said that, so the only way I think we can get more canon here is if I booted up the game and scavenged it for some info there. So why don't you consider this to be confirmed?
Not neccesarily. Vessels contain things. Conduits allow things to pass through. When I see the latter, I think portals. But I already said in my last post that I can accept the idea that this is how things work.
I think it's more like he's always wanted to continue using DMC's world, but he felt like it wasn't his once other people made sequels to it... that and he couldn't access the series anymore if he tried.Well, maybe it's a mistranslation then of some kind. Certainly wouldn't be the first time it's happened. Anyway, I accept it because it's what I see that actually happens. First bayonetta unravels her hair and it twists around a bit before entering a portal. Then another portal appears at another location, where the hair, still shifting, exits out of. A half second later, a demon is formed out of the hair. And you can see the hair struggling to maintain the coloration of the demon, as it keeps going from having it's own colors to pure bayonetta's black. It seems obvious to me, just from what we see happening, that the demon is using the hair to maintain it's form in that world.
Actually, it'd be inaccurate to say that the hair is Bayonetta's vessel, if a vessel 'contains' things. Her hair isn't a single hair, it's a whole bunch of hairs working together, so how can that 'contain' the spirit of a demon?
Either way, my point is that they definitely use the hairs to maintain their form and that it's not their true bodies that we are summoning. I don't know what you would call that if not a vessel and not a conduit, but there it is.
As to Bayonetta's world, it is similar to Dante's in many ways, but I credit that more to Kamiya being a bit lazy with his storytelling. Look at the similarities of Jeanne and Nelo Angelo. An old close friend/sibling figure brainwashed into doing evil by the villain with god delusions who wants to rule a world that is exists in an interdimensionally layered state with judeochristian inspired otherworlds. He just used the same template as he did with DMC, but I wouldn't say that they are the same world.
Oh, thank you for the confirmation. The hair is the catalyst that allows the demon to take physical form in Purgatorio.

Definitely promising on the Wii U graphics front.....
Are we sure that monster escene is in real-time?
