You might could do that with Twitter? I mean, have a new account where you post whatever and continue to post in your old account with mostly G stuff. She might not know to look for a new account if your old one had similar activity. Hm...I feel like Twitter would find a way to ruin that though with your friends talking about your account to your old one or something, etc.

Can't she already see your previous tweets?

I went through and deleted every one of my tweets. And yeah I fear she would just discover the new account.

hey man you are 100% right.

It's just that I have to love her without her knowing everything about me. She'll worry too much. Every alcoholic drink, every girl I get involved with, she'll worry. She was raised in a different country than I was, and the cultural differences are too much for her to know everything. That's why I can't let her know everything.

I spoke on the phone with her earlier tonight. I told her I love her. Don't worry :)

You should have just kept right on posting what you'd normally post. If she said anything you could reply "I'm an adult, mom, if you want to follow what I do and continue being a part of my life you'll need to come to terms with that."

I'm pretty sure my mom is on facebook but hasn't friended me. If she did it wouldn't change what I say, as we get along decently well as two regular adults would.

Future employers would be fine with me eating fattening foods and simply being out beyond 10pm. My mom would worry about me. This isn't just a generational thing. It's cultural. She was born and raised in a different country than me. If my mom saw one of my Facebook pics with me and a girl, she would ask if I'm gonna marry that girl.

I'm 29, born and raised in America with a mom who was born and raised in a third world country. I can see how you might think this is a teenage problem, but when you are a 2nd gen immigrant, it's a problem your whole life.

Tell your mom (with respect) to sod off. Same thing happened to me when they added me on Facebook. I not only blocked both my parents, but told them straight up that I never want to see them doing that again. They're extremely nosy people by nature, and object to like 99% of the things I do, frankly I don't even care that i'm basically a major grade A douchebag for keeping my parents out of my net life. Its mine :<

I'll re-add em a few years down the line

There is no privacy on twitter. Everything posted there is stored and open for public consumption. That's the entire point of the service. Too many people seem to forget that when they tweet about their private shit.
