Your post history betrays you. In August 2007, you twice tried to make a perma-ban bet that a RE2 Remake was coming to the Wii. From Feb '07 to April '07 you made it clear you hated your wii in just about every post you made. You were 17/18 then (you posted your age as 19 in fall '08 in the fitness thread) and that was likely the year you spent at University at Pitt (Capcom is in San Mateo). Twice you tried to off load your Wii on gaf, neither in a buy or sell thread, both times were a semi derail which i assume was your clever way at Wii Trollin.

Umbrella Chronicles and Dead Rising were both offloaded to TOSE as Capcom couldn't even be bothered to put their own internal resources toward these turds. They literally outsourced it to the cheapest place they could find. It's pretty obvious TOSE will be doing Dark Side Chronicles as well.

I don't see how not liking what was once one of my favorite developers is doing, is having a meltdown. Hell the only reason you haven't seen me bitching in the SFIV thread is because people for some god forsaken reason have convinced themselves its not ugly shit.

I loved DMC 1 and 3 last gen, 4 was incredibly disappointing.

They had to take the worst parts of RE4, the escort missions and make an entire game based around. Dead Rising was alright, Lost Planet bored the fuck out of me. Then there's the new Bionic Commando which just looks nothing like the game I remember.

Their output this gen for me has sucked across all the platforms, except for MM9. That shit is good. They've done 3 games this gen so far I've really enjoyed and 1 that was alright, the rest has been the exact opposite of what I've wanted. It's like they've taken up the mantle of trying to emulate western developers and I just don't care for it.

Monster Hunter Tri appears to not be shit. And honestly, I'd say it's your only hope of seeing Capcom do more with the console. If it doesn't sell worth a shit? Expect bad things. Bad things that sell, but still bad things.

And no, I don't mean that MH Tri is a test. It's a super-massive franchise on a super-massively popular console. Nintendo should be backing the shit out of it - it's a foundation game for the Wii.

I didn't care about the Monster Hunter series before it went to Wii, and I'm not a fan of it just because its on Wii.

I would kill for a new Maximo game, or Viewtiful Joe, or something like Killer 7, or PN.0.3. Hell I'd even before another CVS or MVC as long as they were 2D.

Capcom just isn't putting out what I want this gen, on any platform.

I will be very surprised if any new scenario(s) in UC2 is anything more than the result of a desire on Capcom's part to hastily patch some assessed hole in the RE continuity that they feel doesn't warrant an actual effort, largely due to the fact that it really doesn't, like how Steve's father became a zombie in CV.

No one can enjoy that a new RE5 just came out? If you want new mainline RE just pick up RE5 with a 360 if you dont have one. Anyone can get used the controls, it wont hurt to play it without a wiimote. And why would Capcom announce a Wii version of RE5 now?

When I think about it, releasing RE4:Wii was probably a mistake as far as mindshare on the Wii (definitely not a financial mistake). It set the bar and expectations a little too high for the Wii audience. I'll bet if they had only released UC then this would be a hype thread for DSC at this point. /edit

Either way, I'm sure this'll be decent. Death's Door and Nightmare were some very interesting scenarios in the series added into Umbrella Chronicles, and the main game was fun to play with friends.

I wonder if this will be another cavia. project or someone else will work on it? Have Capcom even worked on an original Wii title themselves yet? Or is there just one production team working on Lost Planet 2?

I think Capcom's business model is based on not supporting the console leader. That explains why GC, PSP(early on), and DC got good support making PS2 and Wii fans scratch their heads.

Since the release of Z&W Capcom hasn't allocated any internal resources to Wii development. None. That alone speaks volumes.

I hate carrots. Things that say, if you can just get here, all will be good, but you can never actually get there. That said, MH3 is coming. I expect MH1 levels out of it, but if it does better maybe Capcom will be ready with RE5:Wii at the launch of Wii 2 in 2015. :/

You can't say that universally, Sega has figured out that you just have to find other developers who want to develope and make high quality Wii games (Headstrong, Platinum, High Voltage) then pay for their release :lol

Sega has barely had a misstep when it comes to Wii, Sonic does not count because Sonic was shit on all platforms so its not like Secret Rings or Black Knight would have been a AAA afair if on the 360/PS3

Its doing very well in the UK, debuted higher than any HoTD before it and in on pace to at least equal if not surpass HoTD 2/3 Returns, Ghost Squad and Umbrella Chonicles

US sales unknown, but I would not expect it to be in the Top 10. It should have long legs and sell better than its previous genre games (REUC being the standard bearer at around 400-600k in the US)
