Give it (half) an hour and you should see enough divergence to keep you interested.
Don't know why so many people are like AGAGAGAAGGA CHRONO TALKS *switch off*. Never seemed like a big deal to me, besides it's somewhat logical with there being no actual main character this time around. The game is solid and should appeal to fans with a strong interest in the series' background. Already about 15 hours in.
So is this the legit release (relatively speaking), or a glitchy (pre-)beta?
My understanding is that it's further advanced than the "98% beta", but not exactly the finished product, a 99% build if you will. I have personally only encountered one thing I thought was weird, though I can't tell if it was a bug or if I just stumbled upon unfinished content. It was non-gamebreaking and sidequest-related anyway. As for the rest the game plays just fine.
For those familiar with Flames of Eternity, this current build of CE is much more polished and balanced than the latest FoE build, however Giro stated that from now on he would use the latest CE version as a basis for future updates.
Also, the coliseum works and that's awesome.
