I'm still all for the idea of the scout team bowl you suggested.

I am too. We do get Gurley back this week, but honestly, that just worries me that he'll get a bigger injury. I guess we can thank the NCAA for implementing the targeting rule so that defenders now go for the knees more.

So just found out a fan died during the game at the stadium.

Apparently had a seizure and hit his head potentially which possibly caused a brain hemorrhage. Not exactly sure, though.

Kyle Flood caught in a lie?

http://blogs.mycentraljersey.com/ru...ays-he-is-unaware-of-quarterback-competition/

Rutgers coach Kyle Flood said Sunday that he was going to split practice reps between the two veterans and decide on Thursday who will start Saturday against Temple. He emphasized accuracy of passing and decision making as two things he wants to see in deciding the battle.

When asked if it is difficult to prepare for a game while taking less reps, Nova said, “Yesterday I got all the reps with the ones so I don’t know what’s going on there but I’m going to prepare as hard as I can and if the Chas gets the nod I’ll be there to help him as much as I can.”

Gotta "CHOP" down that Schiano tree. Let's take a look at it:

Kyle Flood: sucks.
Mario Cristobal: Fired.
PJ Fleck: Took him 8 tries to get first win.

Edit: Apparently it was Gary TurNova that was caught in the lie. The "first string" QB in all likelihood, isn't going to be first string anymore.

That's awful. I'll look for a link. Probably not related, but all I hear about Bright House Stadium is that it is like an outdoor cooker.

Rutgers football has definitely taken a turn for "circus-like" atmosphere this season. I'm on the verge of just tuning out. It's reaching Tampa Bay levels.

You've got:

A. Starting Corner quits team mid-season to go play baseball at some other school.
B. Houston debacle.
C. Battered secondary.
D. Now Nova-gate.
E. On top of that quite a few players transferred out mid-season.

Edit: On second thought - I'm not tuning out. This is highly entertaining. I can't wait to see what happens next. It's only a pity I don't know what team mcgruber roots for. He likes to talk a lot of shit, but he doesn't do well at taking it in return.

Fresno State will never make a BCS bowl with that horrible defense.
Fresno State is one of the best teams in the country and could beat anybody. Our very own jamesinclair said something along those lines.

They even beat Rutgers, a mighty foe from a BCS AQ conference.

P.S. It's gonna be really sad to see Baylor score 89 on Fresno State in the Fiesta Bowl.

Texas Tech having a special announcement:

-Texas Tech partners with The Lone Survivor Foundation, the Purple Heart Foundation, the International Vietnam War Archive at Texas Tech, and Under Armor.

-Special events all week from receptions and lectures, special exhibits at the Viet Nam Archive and the Texas Tech Museum, all culminating with the game.

Kelvin Taylor is going to get the start Saturday. Hoping this is the point where we turn the corner.

Run defense is one part of our defense where I'm not as worried, compared to our pass defense. Should be an interesting game. In the Cocktail Party, anything can happen. Florida may come out with an awesome offense, we may come out with a shutdown defense. Yeah, that probably won't happen, but hey, anything can happen.

Those look pretty sharp. I was baffled by the helmet design until I reread the article a little closer.

Yeah not enough info really for it to get picked up at all. Then again I'm in Jax right now so I wouldn't see any coverage anyway.

And yeah some people nickname the stadium the Wok. Noon games are a bitch.

Kliff Kingsbury had "98" put up around the #TexasTech locker room. That's margin OSU has beaten Tech last two years: 66-6 and 59-21.
.

I do think we still carry a fairly significant talent margin over Tech. We've been rolling the last few years while they've been perpetually rebuilding since Leach left.

Playing on the road plus the night game environment will make it tougher, but I still feel like we should win if we play well.
