At the beginning of the game, I really thought they decided to do a "dualing band" premise with our band on one side of the field and the Arkansas band on the other, slowing marching towards each other.

Why? I refer to the chart I posted above. Oregon's opponents have a combined record of 22-27. Their best win is over a 4-3 Washington team that also lost to Stanford and Arizona State. Their worst win is over Cal, a team with a 1-6 record whose only win is over FCS Portland State.

FSU's opponents are 27-13. Their best win is over a Clemson team that has won all of it's other games. Their worst is over Nevada, and even they are sitting 3-4 right now. FSU is also scoring ever so slightly more points per game than Oregon. Even FSU's FCS foe (Bethune Cookman) is at least a quality FCS team. They are 6-1 with their only loss so far to FSU, and all but one of their victories was by at least 14 points.

So, right now, as of the current rankings, how is Oregon better than FSU?

Really, FSU's is 21-12 and Oregon's is 18-24, unless you want to include FCS records (Nicholls State & Bethune-Cookman). I'd like to take out Georgia States, but they sadly are a quasi-member of the Sun Belt. It'd be 22-20

Several beat writers from different papers are agreeing with him. Assuming that he's referring to the Grantham rumor. Sounds like they may be taking this off week to make some changes. If that happens, I expect Chris Wilson to get promoted from defensive line coach to be coordinator, at least through the end of the year. Then it's Kirby Smart time, and I doubt that Saban could talk him out of it this time with Rodney Garner leaving in the offseason for Auburn. Word was that Smart had agreed last time around, but that Saban had talked him out of it somehow.

If this is all true, then I'm guessing they didn't want this to leak. Word was he's been at UGA today and been working, and probably found out about this when everyone else did.
