Yeah I think it was implied that they all died in that future attack, so that plan failed massively. This is probably the first issue I felt was a waste of time, the fight with the defenders didn't need to take up half the issue.

Any word on if Shazam will be getting his own comic in the new 52? Not sure why but my interest in this character has skyrocketd in the past month. Really enjoyed his origin story in the in the new JL...even if they did make him more of a delinquent.

Haven't started Throne of Atlantis arc yet in the new JL but noticed he was on the cover.

Wouldn't mind that honestly. I mean, it's hard to reconcile how Teen Jean was written back then (since it was a different era) to how Teen Jean is written now, but I like her being portrayed as imperfect considering the pedestal everyone seems to place her on. I know that basically her telepathy was a sudden thing in ANXM, but right now, her acting kinda bratty is refreshing, especially when the Cuckoos were overpowering her mentally. Teen Jean snapping and becoming dark phoenix could be quite interesting.

Seriously. Originally, I was on the fence due to Bendis writing another team book as well as one that dealt with time travel, but man, I'm glad to be proven wrong with this one. It's a solidly executed book overall.

It is very complex and confusing. The part I don't understand is the time compression/missing footage story...

I haven't made it to the shop (will go this weekend, before seeing IM3), but I "peeked" at this week's issue of ANXM. And I hate to sound like a broken record, I know most of you don't care, but I'm getting pretty darn tired of the Wolverine caricature that Bendis/Immonen are giving us, and I'm finding it distracting in what is otherwise a great book. I have a hard time reconciling that this is the same Logan as the one appearing in WatXM, UA, and Cornell's series.
