I enjoyed Dead Rising, but never picked up the second. I'll enjoy watching some streams and stuff but I don't plan on picking up an Xbox One.

I hope everyone that gets it enjoys the game.

Any word if digital buyers will have a day 1 edition?

EDIT Gamespot says for two weeks after launch if you buy any of the day one games digitally you'll get the day one edition

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I had some info compiled per your request but I didn't think the OP would be up so soon.

Ah well, you've pretty much got it all covered in the OP, which is fantastic by the way. Great job.

Hype! Excellent OT. Not long until I'll be playing this on day one edition Xbox.

I really wanted to buy the Day One Edition of DR3, but here in the UK 'Game' have got the exclusivity to sell it... Bunch O' rip off merchants!

Any word on what the Digital price will be?

Yeah. Hopefully going to be a pretty fun game. Original DR is what got me to buy a 360. Makes sense I get this game on launch.

I was watching a 30 minute walkthrough on Gametrailers yesterday and it looked like it ran pretty smooth to me. I honestly think any big dips will be few and random. All I know is that it looks like an absolute fucking blast.

It's a bit of a bummer, but still looks totally playable to me. Also, I don't think it was definitely answered as to whether they were analyzing the final version.

Also, the lowest FPS in that video is 16, not 10.

What I've been able to figure out so far is that this footage is from chapter 5, but it's still unclear as to whether it's final or preview code. The fact that almost all sites are pimping the same footage suggests it might be preview code, but we won't really know until release.

I microwave steaks.
Wow, the day one edition cover, looks worse than the retail

Still cannot wait, frame rate be damned.

All the footage dips in the exact same place. When Nick is about to enter the space exhibit and face off against the psycho, there's a clear moment where it struggles. I'm really leaning toward this being preview code, the footage in the DF feature wasn't exclusive to them and as far as I know, no-one has retail code yet...

Either way, it's not even close to being a deal breaker for me. It looks like it plays more than fine and it damn sure looks fun. A must have when I eventually get the system.

I'd hope they manage to lock the frame-rate, but it won't be a deal breaker for me either. I'll be disappointed, but DR is one of my most loved series and I can't go without buying this...especially having already played the demo at the tour and falling in love.

There is no pc version of this game correct?

No.

Haha, love the banana hammock pic in the OT.

So excited for this. I'm going to play the whole thing co-op with a buddy over Live.

I love all the new OT for Xbox One launch titles!!

Once my favorite Let's player gets a hold of this, I'm going watch the carnage gleefully, I'll never get to play it, but most of the enjoyment I glean from this series has more to do with the story anyway, and this one looks to be the best.

Wow @ this ot.

I've never seen you type more than 10 words for anything, and most of the time your replies are neutral, at times bordering on ambiguous, you're like the purest poster on GAF :O

It looks very fun, but anyone else a little dissappointed in the visuals?
Especially the use of colors, it just doesnt have the vivid colors i associate with Dead Rising 1 and 2.

I am looking forward to this.

I've made my peace with the evidence of technical shittiness; if it were 360-only I'd be paying the same amount and playing it on my 360, so eh (I'd still be buying an Xbox One without Dead Rising; I can understand being of a different opinion if this game is what's selling you on a $500 console.)

I'm honestly more concerned about the move to an open city possibly making the environment less memorable; the mall and casino in the first two games weren't huge, but I learned their layouts and knew where everything was pretty quickly. Open world games taking place in cities tend to have more 'filler' space in a lot of cases, and I find myself relying more on maps and guide arrows because the rows of buildings tend to blend together.
