My aunt & uncle run a Mom & Pop store, "The Gamecube Hut", and sold 80k WiiU within minutes of opening.
It's not a screen. Touchpad.
But it looks a little too reflective to be a touch-pad.

Why's the Vita's d-pad better? Honestly curious
Read what I quoted again.
use one and you'll see
so much more comfortable. i've always liked(not loved) the playstation d-pads, but man can those things tear up your thumb

Hah right? come on now!Good luck with that.

Oh. lol, I still thought it was the guy who made the circle around the headphone jack.
An industry source familiar with the new system tells us the photo is the real deal. But bear in mind, it may not represent the final form of the controller. Curiously, it seems to not include a "Share" button, despite that button being described in official Orbis documentation that was shared with us a few weeks ago. I've contacted Sony to see if this is real, and will update if I hear back.
It's responsive and clicky, not mushy and too tough like the DS3 one. Best d-pad I've used. Why's the Vita's d-pad better? Honestly curious
That headphone jack that seems to be at the bottomHow do I connect my turtle Beaches up to it
Wouldn't mind if that grille represented the microphone and we could plug any headphones we wanted to into the port on the bottom.
Yep, using the Vita dpad shows you how bad the PS3 dpad is. Can't wait for that to be their new standard.
I hope (and expect) it to be primarily used for UI stuff (which it should be very good at), and not in action games.I just hope the touchpad actually gets used. I could see it being way more useful than the Sixaxis but I could also see developers not use it properly, then it eventually getting all but phased out.
Might be possible sinve the ps3 basically accepts any type of blueray headsetWouldn't mind if that grille represented the microphone and we could plug any headphones we wanted to into the port on the bottom.

WTF? It looks like a Vita d-pad, and the Vita d-pad is fantastic.Too fat, rubbish d pad and awful analogue sticks
Unless Sony is hoping to create a new genre where we are sexually stimulating things during our games, I have no idea what a touch pad like that would be used for.
Top image looks so much better (in style & quality).
Web browsing would be way way better than currently, flicking, pitching to zoom, pretty viable. What in the hell could be the use of the touchpad?
