It's funny to watch GAF change it's tune when it comes to upgrading every other year when Sony starts doing it.

it's prison school, the borderline porn vade loved to post five times a page

The fucked up thing is that exactly how he'd like to be remembered when he dies, too.

"Oh, he used to love posting borderline porno comics on message boards, god rest his soul."

of this i have no doubt - but it is an accurate description of his entire personality (or lack thereof), so there's really no way around it

if by pros you include people in qualifiers and top tier pubs, yeah. if you mean actual pros that are established, nah

Na it's a problem with established pros as well, just take a look at one of the three hundred Flusha gifs floating around--dude is clearly hacking and there are more like him. He just aimlocks people through smokes, around corners, and through walls constantly to get positioning info and most recently (and most damning)

His aimlock got tripped up by a glitch on a cache wall that makes wall hacks think you can shoot through an impenetrable wall (so the hack flicks to the wall and starts firing and the player in question looks like a dumb shitter). But as long as the culture around comp. CS is, "well if they weren't vac'd then they aren't hacking!" nothing will be done until someone leaks the hack. There was another pro player that starts with a K who had a bunch of suspic gifs like Flusha and fans defended him to the death (game sense!!!! no vac!!!) until one day his code was leaked to VAC and he got banned midmatch topkek.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of the top teams had one aimlocker on the squad and it's just one of those things that permeates the scene, everyone's got one, but no one talks about it. Just like doping in sports.

I think the case that flusha's cheating makes sense, but honestly I just don't buy it if only because he's been around (and been at the top) for long enough at this point that if he was cheating in matches that matter, someone would've figured it out. To believe that Flusha is cheating at Majors or ESL or whatever is to believe there's some conspiracy going on that allows him to.

okay this might be a coincidence

but if u take the words

JET FUEL CAN'T MELT STEEL BEAMS

and assign each letter a random number between 0 and 9

164 4932 2959 0297 00394 49200

and then assign each of those numbers a random letter of the alphabet

u get

CSG OISF ULLO FCHE ATING WEEBS

I don't know which particular tournaments he manages to hack in, or how he does it, but he does. It's pretty obvious from just watching him play. I know most CS tourneys still allow players to bring their own gear (but they "check" them lol), and they also have access to their steam workshop during the tournament. We're now talking about tournaments with millions on the line and a booming competitive scene, people will find ways to cheat and go to expensive lengths to do so.

Alright, let me rephrase. I don't think Flusha is currently cheating. All of those gifs are from a while back at this point. Years in esports time. Do I think Flusha did, at some point, cheat in official matches? Yeah, probably. Do I think Flusha is currently cheating in any official matches? Nope. Do I think it's odd that there's so much evidence that seems to indicate he's cheating and yet he wasn't kicked from the team or banned from official events? Yeah, that bit is extremely odd.

So while I suppose cheating issues do happen in CSGO, Flusha is still the only one I can think of who's relevant, and I don't think he's been cheating since Fnatic has been on this ridiculous crushing streak. Additionally, flusha obviously knows prefire and wallbang spots quite well, since he's gotten hundreds of such kills that were quite clearly not due to a hack.

Dota 2 |OT14| If by Dota you mean anime and other games...

edit: I'm glad I didn't fall to the original PS4 temptation. Maybe the new one will run BB flawlessly.

I know that comment was off topic, no need to point that out, I'm aware of my own hypocrisy.

boys it's OK. it's a community thread, there are no major dota tournaments going on, and we're nearing the end of a patch cycle

it's all going to be OK i promise shhh only dreams now

i think the dota 2 prizepools are honestly massive bubbles that will hurt the longevity of the scene more than they help. Once they start dropping interest in the prizepools will greatly drop. you're better off hyping the stories and the quality of play than the prize money. You can refer to 'real' sports for evidence of this.

Not really. TI5 had 4.5m viewers in the Finals.

CSGO needs to up it's prize pools as well.

csgo pro teams were asked if they want huge prizepools and a TI like dota or majors + stickers and most told valve they wanted the latter

pro teams make A LOT of money off of stickers, and the money is distributed evenly to all teams that qualify so it's guaranteed money

Totally agree. Castles built on sand.

That's a good metaphor. And with regular majors now I think it'll sink even faster. Already it feels like hype for Dota 2 tournaments is diminished. CSGO has similar saturation that Dota 2 had last year, with hype for majors similar to hype for DAC or TI, so clearly massive prize pools aren't required to keep the hype high for big tournaments.

Honestly I'm not optimistic for the longevity of Dota 2, nor the MOBA genre, as a pillar of esports. Feels like growth is being greatly haulted.

Arena shooters will take their place
he says with great optimism
