This is so silly. After 3rd-parties been through every excuse in the book - as to why their games won't come - and Nintendo now has a hit console on their hands, the best many of these devs can do is the old "show interest first, and we'll port x/y/z game." Just port the fu**ing game already!
What the hell ever happened to the age-old concept of gamers being attracted to awesome looking/playing games? Apparently, Nintendo platform owners are exempt from that notion.
What happens in these cases are late ports when all the hype has died down, with no additional marketing, and the conclusion of;"You see, Nintendo gamers don't support our games!"
If it's not a hardware concern, then stuff like this is a no-brainer, especially on a damn hybrid console! Come on man.

As long as it isn't crossplay that's fine. Fighting games in general suffer from people not wiring in. The wi fi net code to this would probably be butt cheeks.
I don't own a Switch yet, but if y'all want something and Bandai Namco is the publisher, ask enough and you'll get it. If we can get Digimon games localized three years in a row, you can get a DBZ game on the Switch no problem.
I'd be down for a Switch port. Seeing as it's apparently 1080p/60fps on XB1 (& running on UE4), maybe the Switch could do DBFZ at 900p/60fps docked.
I'd expect something closer to 540p on the switch if the xb1 is at 1080p, if they want to maintain the framerate.
Have you not seen GGXrd on the PS3? Switch is stronger than that.I'd expect something closer to 540p on the switch if the xb1 is at 1080p, if they want to maintain the framerate.

This actually makes sense. Oh well hope for the best I suppose.Easier to port XV2 rather than request a small dev like Arksys to add another platform that they likely hadn't even seen hardware for until late last year at the earliest.
GGXrd runs at 720p/60fps on PS3. Worse hardware, worse engine.
No reason it'd be lower than that. It looks great mainly thanks to great art and neat tricks.
Didn't remember which game this was. In my mind I was thinking of something like xenoverse.
What do you mean by worse engine though? Maybe this isn't doing anything more than guilty gear on ps3, but system requirements usually go up with newer engines.
GGXrd is on UE3, DBF on UE4.
You can see from all the videos that they are using the same dev tricks, but this engine should allow them to both optimize it further all while using more tricks for the same amount of resources at worst.
Edit: Xenoverse 2 is at 720p on Switch too btw, and UE4 as well from what I remember.

Seconded. I have never been a fan of the Tenkaichi style DBZ games. Not getting XV2, but I would get this if it came to Switch.
Would be awesome, also have crossplay with X1 and PC.
I'd expect something closer to 540p on the switch if the xb1 is at 1080p, if they want to maintain the frame rate. Or maybe 720p with reduced quality.
But 2D DBZ has literally always been a thing on Nintendo handhelds :0PS3 could handle Guilty Gear.
My guess is that they don't see any overlap in fanbase, which is why people have to actually come out to prove they are interested and would buy such a port over PS4/XB1/PC

Even fighters developed by ASW. Supersonic Warriors on GBA, Supersonic Warriors 2 on DS and Extreme Butoden on 3DS.But 2D DBZ has literally always been a thing on Nintendo handhelds :0

This statement makes me think that DBFZ is already in development for Switch and they just don't want to cannibalize XV2's sales with an official announcement.
