But Vegeta only lost his chest piece for VegitoGoku was bare chested for a scene last arc, we also saw half of Vegeta's chest and a shirtless Trunks (though he had some bandages covering parts of him).
We need more shirtless heroes

I finally caught up all the way, by the way. I really love the way they've handled 17's character. He's a complete badass now with his cool and collected attitude. You can tell how much he's grown from his delinquent punk days. He's polite and soft spoken, and doesn't let things get to him, but still has a bit of a cold edge to him. I always liked him in the Android arc and History of Trunks, but he exceeded any expectations I had of him here. I pretty much expected Goku to go fight him, recruit him, and leave. Instead we got real character development, and the writers managed to tease Uub and spend a fair amount of time on how 17's family and job has affected his life. Good job, DB Super. This arc is shaping up to be my favorite yet.
18 has also had a good amount of development throughout Super. I love watching her interacting with Krillin and their daughter.
My thoughts;
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. For the most part story was pretty good, but the visuals left a lot to be desired, the action was pretty weak compared to a lot of the stuff we've gotten this arc. I'm also not a fan of how Gohan just got his Ultimate form back by powering up after getting a lecture from Piccolo. I would have much rather had Gohan have to center himself spiritually or something to get it back.
The episode was almost entirely outsourced, so that explains why it wasn't the best visually.
Gonna need the Dragon Balls to wish back Yamcha's hopes and dreams.
Yeah I feel your disappointment.
It was a good episode but it wasn't what they advertised it to be.
Also the 17 episode completely spoiled me in terms of eye candy with the color works and story board. It probably ruined all the episodes to come for me lmao.
Im sure we will get some sick episodes in the actual tournament

I wasn't expecting anything good from this episode.
But then we got Cabba and Piccolo beating Gohan twice so that was ok. Sucks that Piccolo had to share his episode with Gohan.
Gohan is still terrible
The Ultimate Gohan in my theory is/would be a rare and unique transformation thanks to things like DNA combination and the two enhancements that Gohan has received
Top episode for me, I got what I came for. There could have been more Gohan, but a lot is going on in this arc and they have to weave that in; spending time time on the rest of the cast rather than make it Piccolo/Gohan exclusive is fine in my book. 17 had been missing the 90s so he deserved that treatment.

I only hope they start drawing Gohan better, because holy fuck the only time he did look awesome in this episode was when he went SS2, they're having problems making him look cool with the bang, it's either too big or too weird, I mean, it's great to have the bang back, but for some reason they can't seem to draw it right.
With those complaints aside, HOLY FUCK THE BANG IS BACK!
Caulifla is the name of that Female Broly, I wonder what she's up to. From the initial arc trailer it seemed like she was a shy girl hiding immense power, but today's episode made her look like she's some kind of bandit, not shy at all.
Poor dragon, they keep eating its tail lol, that was a nice callback.
He looked fine in close-up scenes.

While I am sad that the episode was not fully centered on Piccolo x Gohan, it was overall good.
I didn't like the art very much, but it's Gohan!
Also:
I really disliked him going SSJ2 transforming into ultimate (aka black again)
It didn't felt good, cause technically Ultimate was never above SSJ2 (above being SSJ3), it was like an alternate transformation (or so I though) so it was kinda lame going yellow to black hair while he was screaming lol.
but <3 gohan forever. now to ep 90.

Ah yeah, that one looked good too, but I do hope he looks fine in all scenes with the bang. BTW did he not have it at the end of the episode when he was at the bonfire with Piccolo? I thought he'd keep it at all times
He did have it. Look again.
I fucking told you guys last year that the next arc would have Vampires.
looking forward to itCaulifla will be the breakout star of this arc. I fully expect her to destroy someone after their moment of glory and cause a legitimately threatening fighter to job.
I don't understand what Piccolo was doing by using multiform against Ultimate Gohan, lol. Unless it was a ploy by Piccolo to hide how much power he's put on over the years. We at least know he's as strong as Super Saiyan 2. However, I assume Piccolo is going to go toe to toe with Gohan in the remaining hours, so he's surpassed Super Saiyan 3? Interesting. =o

Are they supposed to be up that high?
I was half expecting Piccolo to take Gohan to the Hyperbolic Chamber (Is this what you guys usually call it in English? In the Latam dub it was simply The Room of Time) so that they could train for the few hours they still have left.
Accurate thread sub-title is accurate.
Is Piccolo being able to control a cut off limb new?
Piccolo channeling his inner Buu.
Heh, forgot the Time between those two words Had a couple of beers while watching the episode. Yeah, it's a weird name for sure.Ahem it's the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And yes it's a stupid name
I hope that means Gohan will have a new form for the tournament. God Ultimate or something.
He's training him to fight in a battle royale also, so i figured fighting foes in numbers is part of that, hence multiform.
Ahem it's the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And yes it's a stupid name
My hunch is that we'll see Ultimate with that lightning effect like in the opening and that one card art. Not sure if it will involve God Ki, though it would be amazing if it did. Ultimate with God ki should theoretically be stronger and easier to use than Blue(less body strain).
It was a fierce battle that span over 3 days to settle for this.
Well, yeah but the training was to get Gohan back up to snuff. multiform would be pointless for that because he's dividing his strength. Though, I guess he probably let his arm got blocked off so he could shoot Gohan in the back, lol.
