And s Wii U is a Wii U. Even if you make it portable and change its name to SwitchA handheld is a handheld, even if you can dock it.

So basically fewer particle and lighting effects? Sounds about right.
These would be a good start to serve realistic expectations in graphics and performance between the platforms from the beginning then I presume the comparisons will slow to a halt when majority of people got a better understanding.I hope we won't have to do this every time there's a PS4/Switch game even if those will be few and far between.
My goodness. The downgrade that matters is that it's 60FPS on PS4 and 30FPS on the Switch.

Looks like worse geometry, half the FPS and maybe even lower res too.
It might be a rushed port
The OP.Did anyone think this wasn't going to be the case?
I still don't know the specs of the Switch, is it just a portable Wii U?

The Switch is still going to dominate the PS4 in Japan in terms of sales though.

Just wait until Skyrim comes around.

Oh go back a week ago and you'd be surprised. And btw this is bottom of the barrel current gen graphics, seeing switch port begging in re7 and ff15 threads is just sad.Did anyone think this wasn't going to be the case?

The fact that it's portable still outweighs the minuscule downgrade for me, and that will pretty much go for most games. As someone who goes to work everyday and usually brings their 3DS, the Switch is perfect, and small downgrades like particle effects don't make a huge difference.
No doubt. Japanese gamers aren't going to give a damn about better graphics when they can play games like this on the go.
He's being sarcastic. Based on his post history he's very pro-Sony.PS4 is still going to dominate worldwide.
And?

i'll take content over fidelity any day of the week
As said in the other thread we've likely only seen footage of the game in portable mode. That's how it was demoed in Japan this weekend I believe. That's the feature that sets it apart from the PS4 version and it looks significantly better the the Vita version.
We need to see what it looks like and how it runs while the Switch is in docked mode.

Yikes. This is really, really bad.The downgrade that matters is that it's 60FPS on PS4 and 30FPS on the Switch.
