I still love them

The criteria
ESPN said:
Affordability (11.3%): Price of tickets, parking and concessions

Coaching (3.2%): Strength of on-field leadership

Fan relations (25%): Courtesy by players, coaches and front office toward fans, plus how well a team uses technology to reach fans

Ownership (13.1%): Honesty; loyalty to core players and the local community

Players (14.6%): Effort on the field, likability off it

Stadium experience (9.8%): Quality of arena; fan-friendliness of environment; frequency of game-day promotions

Title track (4.6%): Championships won or expected within the lifetime of current fans

Bang for the buck (18.3%): Wins in the past two years per fan dollar, adjusted for league schedules

I was perplexed by the Giants not being in the top ten but then I saw the bang for buck @ 88. At least stadium experience is at 1!

Something is way off here. The Grizz are #2? I think that Fan relations metric is skewing a lot of these. The worse the team is the more they have to try to draw you in.

Criteria is shit if the Grizzlies are that high, they should have gone back to the drawing board when they saw that.

0 MLS teams on this list. Come on now, ESPN. You're not even technically including all NA sports teams in your all inclusive NA sports team list.

DBacks in the top 10 is surprising. But then again, it is cheap to go there and they have always treated their fans well which fits the criteria.

Absolutely earned by the Bolts. Vinick has done a marvelous job with the team. You have to earn it to make hockey popular in the land of neverwinter.

Kevin Towers didn't kill them so I guess nothing will.

The Knicks are a dead team. The fans stopped going ages ago and Dolan is living off the MSG money. He hasn't done anything but burn that fucking team to the ground.

People haven't given a shit in years.

right, not allowing you to wear opposing teams colors if you sit behind the plate is a great way to serve customers

So in the NHL my Red Wings are ranked 4th? I mean I wouldn't put them in the top 5 but hey that's cool.

But the Dallas Stars as the third ranked NHL team? Are you out of your mind? High expectations this year, sure, but I don't think they are even a clear lock for the Central this year.

I don't need to Go to Maple Leafs Story to know why they're last.

Just according to #Shanaplans #Tankaku #Leafkaku #Babcocku #Stamcock

Small market teams are more up top. Grizzlies have fielded a great squad for the past 4 years and are smaller here in Memphis. Cheaper tickets, players love the city and fans, Fedex Forum is a good stadium. Smaller teams have a bias on this list.

Well I don't agree with that, but yeah I'd say the relationship the Dbacks have had with their fans since they formed has been positive and they did bring the state a championship which helped cement that, something the other professional teams have been unable to do.

Seattle Mariners should be higher. Everything except the onfield performance is pretty damn good. The team is just garbage.

No real hate. They are a solid team but they've only been there for what 15 years? There is no real history yet. No titles, and the farthest they've gone is get swept in the conference finals if I recall correctly.

Every single one of those Griz/Spurs conference Finals games were close for the most part. Sadly the Grizzlies title window is all but closed, they will rebuild in the next couple with Marc and Conley as the key pieces.

Nationwide Arena is a fucking great venue. And the CBJ are practically giving away tickets at this point.

So I'd imagine those two facts are probably inflating their ranking. By a lot.
