Yeah, all of the expert characters have their weak points. You need to overcome their weakness to get to their strengths. Expert = hard mode initially.

And that's how it should be and why I believe everybody's/hot shots golf is one of the best and most balanced sports games/simulations.
It's not a case of now I have the best character I'm going to win.
It's more a case of now I can hit it further but I'm more likely to screw up and the punishment will be greater.

Group B second place is potentially still up for grabs, depending on the last group match between bearcatjosh and BlindMonkey.

Have to assume that they didn't intend to release the details now, but to make the bundle available later down the line. On the one hand I want to get the DLC and support the game, on the other I don't want to spend knowing I can save about 30% down the line. Principle. :/
Now that they've screwed up the announcement they may as well just release it.

I've always had a strange knack for golf games, going back to Mario Golf on NES and HAL's Hole-In-One Golf for SNES (I think I rented HAL's about a dozen times when I was a kid), to Golden Tee in the arcade's and Tiger Woods on consoles.
Unfortunately I have never played Hot Shots until this version so I'm just getting accustomed to the strategy and gameplay. It's surprisingly deep for how wrapped it is in a cutesy anime wrapper.
I'll be on vacation until Tuesday night, I'll have my Vita but won't be sure of wifi access so anyone who has games going with me just be patient. I got a 3G Vita but I'm never paying AT&T for data.
Oh dear Andy, I'll check it out now. I'm not adverse to messing things up either though.
Edit I can see a combiinataion of elevation difference and cross wind made that approach difficult mate. Unlucky there.
I feel terrible Andy, loosing on points is the worst way to go. I'm sure you'll take sweet revenge in the next tourney.

My own fault loosing on points. Should have played for the fairways to keeps points consistent, but spent a hole hacking around in the rough. The points challenges in the single player game were hardest for me
Yes the game does penalise you for the rough and maybe doesn't give enough reward for a good recovery shot.
I'll get on in a few hours to finish up my hole.
Anyone in my friends list who wants to throw out a challenge feel free regardless of tournament.

I've just been using whoever I'm currently building loyalty with, but I'm more than happy to set a character or pick a tier etc. Same for clubs. I've unlocked all of the courses now (haven't bought the DLC yet) so I can make it as hard or easy as you want (all of my other matches were on the first course as that's all I had unlocked).
Shall we set some parameters or shall I just pick whatever? Probably won't get the chance until tomorrow evening now.

So happy atm... was in a challenge round, getting a little bored and about to turn off the game, but decided one more round since it was a Par 5.
Decent enough tee shot. Considering I'm using starter Yuna girl.
Second shot... *bam* double eagle. It actually hit the hole directly... no bounce or roll on the green at all. Just exploded into the cup with a cool effect.
I almost threw my Vita in excitement.
I've been playing hot shots since they've been making them... and I have never hit a double eagle quite like that before. Feels good man.
