The thing is, personally, I think the praise for Spec Ops story is waaay seriously overblown. Really on many levels it just doesn't bloody work. Plus there is no way its story makes up for the derivative, uninspired gameplay.

And no I do not believe that crap when people say "but-but that's the point! It's commentary on over shooters" What utter tripe.

I disagree about their stance on multiplayer in reviews. If a developer is putting out trailers that advertise the multiplayer, and if a developer is putting out pre-order bonuses for multiplayer weapons, reviewers should be expected to take this into consideration in a for a game's final weight, since the developers seem to be putting effort selling it as a feature to potential buyers.

I particularly enjoyed their most recent video about Aesthetics in games. Different from the Gameplay vs. Aesthetics video. Really interesting.

Take that as you will in regards to Spec Ops and whatever.
