and I really have to applaude it for not having a match against Abe's teammate, I was so used to normal sports anime that I was sure they would be matched up and there would be a drawn out segment where Mihashi learns why Abe didnt like the pitcher or something like that.

Wait, I thought they already did that whole 'explain to Mihashi why Abe doesn't like that pitcher' thing. Then again, it's been months since i saw episode 10 (damn you Saizen ) so I might have misrememebered. Can't wait for the next few episodes, though I have a feeling we won't see them for a while... (damn you again Saizen )

Abe did explain his point of view, but it didnt seem like Mihashi knew the exact reason and still looked up to him in a way. It would have been something that a normal sports anime would have done to flesh it out more by having a them in a match so Mihashi could see exactly why he isnt good or some shit like that.

Can someone tell me what chapter of the Genshiken manga should I start reading from after watching episode 10?

Episode 10 is between books 7-8(chapter 37 and on). I suggest reading books 7-9, where 9 is the last book.

Just saw ep11 of Genshiken. Looks like they are going to completely remove the camping scene. My guess for how the

Sasahara/Ogiue

will go down will be the apartment scene after the camping trip. It seems to be the only way they can end it in the next episode. That would then leave a 1-3 ovas to finish off the series. My guess for the final episode will be that it will conclude like in the manga, where they'll go without any dialog.


So far Genshiken has been my comedy for the fall, with Moyashimon in second, and Minami-ke in third. Hopefully there is something good to see for the winter season.
