Will Tekken 7 have any notable players from Asia? I know a few just got a large sponsorship deal.

EDIT: A quick glance at the brackets tells me both JDCR and Saint are in attendance.

Also, only 420 entries for SFV so far. (Emergency reg is today). Yikes, that's less than half the entries from last year when they reached their cap of 1028 players for SFV.

Damn, attendance is down 59%. I wonder if that will be a trend this year due to the game's reception and age. If so I still don't expect attendance to be so low for other events. Final Round 20's attendance numbers has to be partially due to last year's poor tournament experience.

I participated in a 26-man VF4EVO tournament a few weeks ago and it was so fucking fun. Hope people enter the side tournament at KIWC, I'll tune in :D

Finally some top tier international SFV competition. Hoping to see Japan get this work from American players with them s2 characters.

And this is also probably the last Marvel 3 at a Final Round. This is the tournament where Marvel 3 sky rocketed in insanity when Combofiend pulled off the BIONIC ARM!

Want to see how T7 will end up.
With Round1 arcade opening up in Lithonia (just east of Atlanta) last week, a ton of locals were disappointed that it their T7 machines weren't connected or working yet. People were really itching to practice.

Just asked in the FGC thread, I'll ask here as well: does anyone have a room at Final Round tonight with room for one more? I was planning on leaving tomorrow but for a couple reasons I wasn't expecting it would be much more convenient to leave tonight - only problem, I don't have anywhere to stay. I have a room for the rest of the weekend, but not tonight.

I definitely don't have a problem throwing some cash for the night, anyone have a room or know someone who does? At the venue or otherwise.

I was literally walking out the door with Larry and Jordan (registration staff) tonight after closing up shop when Mago rolled up to the door to late-register.

They let him enter the event, if you're wondering. How you gonna fly across the world and not have that stuff in order, though?

Brackets on smash.gg are not final as of this moment. We have to go through and check that late registrants were added correctly before finalizing things, and we have some leeway in rearranging brackets as needed until tomorrow. Pool assignments for pre-registrants shouldn't be changing for any game at this point, though.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that I'm making ChrisG and Noel Brown face off in round 1.

Doesn't Noel Brown have a one year ban from CPT events? Combo Breaker 2016 was in May. He should have a couple of months left from a break in SFV.

Or is this in Marvel?

This was literally the first thing I asked about after seeing the late registrant list.

I've been told that it was a 2016 season ban and not a 365-day ban.

Huh, okay. I don't like it, but I did look up their statement on SRK and it only mentioned the 2016 CPT season.

At least it's consistent.

Gonna be a bloodbath this weekend.

Crazy that Final Round hit it's 20th tourney!

Also a bit bummed my friend couldn't go to KI world cup. He got like 18th at EVO last year but didn't tell me he couldn't afford to go until it was too late to plan it out :/
