Marvel vs Capcom 3 for instance, didn't drop viewers until its fourth year.

Its possible that last year there was a lot of new blood and non-FGC folks watching. SFV viewership really cooled during 2016 which probably means the game has shed non-hardcore new players and is back to mostly having dedicated viewers (new and old).
