Maybe I got the wrong impression, I remember Luffy being really happy to see Valmaster getting into the GF and last year he seemed unstoppable. Well Valmaster still has a chance with RFD, Milan and Dreamhack, if only he travelled more this year.

Being happy about your opponent winning doesn't equal letting him win. There are things like sportsmanship and respecting your opponents.

Just because team Madcatz skipped Kuwait doesn't mean they will skip SCR, Milan, Canada Cup, or Dreamhack. They will skip BGS, but there is no money there. Only points.
