I really dig how she's an at-times off-balance whirlwind of cute destruction. Have her and Rowan swapping leads as support partners depending on enemy. Only played a couple hours though, so more characters to discover.
I'm on chapter 3. I picked Rowan and immediately regret my decision. The OG characters are way more interesting and he's like an enthusiastic Anakin Skywalker. Is his sister any better?
I never played a Fire Emblem game... game looks cool but I don't think I'll dig it not knowing the characters... I just hope it has good sales and they think of porting Hyrule Warriors.
I was really into Hyrule Warriors despite knowing nothing about the series. Fire Emblem warriors does seem a little more fleshed out however in terms of story than Hyrule Warriors. And a port of Hyrule Warriors with all the 3DS stuff would be awesome.
I'll probably give the game a break once I finish the last Historia picture and unlock Anna. Getting the stronger versions of the unique character spesific weapon feels rather tedious...and grinding those materials. At least I got Lyn to level 99.
still trying to decide if I'm buying right now with Mario coming out next week but it's looking really good and I've never bought a Warriors game before
I've heard a lot worse. I was concerned at first but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I would say its fine at this point. I'm not annoyed by it. That of course could change.
I've liked the game so far. My brother bought it and the co-op on a TV screen isn't bad until we are on each others screens doing supers. Then the framerate feels like it is somewhere in the low 20's. There is a lot more plate spinning in this game than Hyrule Warriors but The AI feels a lot more competent.
Played both in English and Japanese, and with Quality and Performance. Japanese will not be changed back, but I'm kinda unsure about the quality and performance. Usually I'm all for the improved framerate, but the image quality is absolute garbage. It's not just the lower resolution, something just seems kinda off. The unstable nature of it doesn't help much.
I really do like the gameplay though. Feels a lot more involved from Hyrule with more manual input for the other characters onscreen (though the 3DS port had something similar with the switching). Recalling digging the improvements so far!
Typically if a character's low on health or if I'm fighting a tough boss. It's a great way to build up support, too. Also, your Pair-Up character can level-up.
I've had Amazon do this a lot in the past year and had numerous LE's arrive crushed, so I stopped ordering from them whenever I can and got a Best Buy GCU membership.
I just encountered a weird thing where after pulling the Switch out of the dock it wouldn't let me control the game in portable mode at all, even if I closed the game and restarted it. I had to reset the entire system to get it to recognize handheld mode. Don't think I've seen that in any other game
No idea ... it was one of their white flimsy ones, and when I first got it I thought -- someone stole the game! But, it was completely intact and sealed, with Amazon's proper tracking and postage.
Customer service didn't even question that it was missing. I offered to send them back the sealed envelope lol they declined. I'm supposed to get the replacement Sunday. Sadly, my wife was out with friends tonight, so it was my chance to play ...
Note that although he appears as an npc ally alongside other characters in his debut map, afterwards when he "joins", in most missions he isn't actually around even as an npc unit at all, unlike the OC prince. It's clear they designed these missions with the expectation of the player being able to choose him as an unit.

I think the overarching narrative is fine (if not way too similar to FE Heroes) but yeah, some of the scenarios are ridiculous. Especially since this particular instance happens not once, but FOUR TIMES... yeesh
The characters even while NPCs are much more effective here than in other Musou games that featured similar systems (Samurai Warriors Chronicles/4, Hyrule Warriors Legends). Usually it'd be just a way to allow the player to quickly cross the battlefield, but here they often can take out enemies by themselves, especially if they have weapon advantage.

Performance mode feels... bad honestly. You're right, something isn't right and I'm not even talking about how terrible it looks. Quality mode all the way.
Also, other than the twin brother, I think I prefer the English voice cast compared to the Japanese. Glad the option is there though.

Stupid question, but did you have any other controllers paired?
If you do when you pull it out of the dock the game doesn't default to handheld controls, you actually have to go to the controller settings on the home menu and open the change order window to set the handheld as P1 again.
I've actually run into the same thing a few times with other games as well and it took me a while to figure out what it was.

It's so easy to get lost in the fever of battles and suddenly lose your main base, even though I order the characters around, guess I gotta keep that tradition from Hyrule Warriors.
At least nobody else died after Camilla so far, which I haven't revived yet.

The Anna mission and the archer only mission prior to unlocking Cellica are easily the dumbest missions in the game. Both to complete and to S Rank if you're not around Lv70-90 with good weapons or skills. Just be prepared to fight up to 6 Annas and 6 Reflets at once if you don't finish the objectives on time.
The archer only mission in particular, because you only get 2 of 4 available characters, if you attempt it before unlocking Anna or wait for Zero to be available through DLC. It's really tedious because archers are by far the least fun and most tedious characters to play as.
S Ranking and getting the final boss to 50% HP within 10-15 minutes on hard/lunatic for one of the Anna memories is also kind of stupid if you're not leveled or ready for it.
Postgame can get pretty challenging. Material grinding is a necessity.
