days ago i saw someone on reddit claim he attended the event and played near final versions of DR3, Forza etc. and told people to ask question and he would post answers today.
Let me see if i can find his post again...

there will be an order of magnitude more cars then i will ever play with.

I could handle 300-ish cars. But any less would be disappointing.

It's tracks that worry me. I get the feeling that they are struggling to get them done in time (Due to the 'ring delay).

Will today's blowout include a track list. Or only cars?

Perhaps true, but variety and choice is important. Especially online. Although its not an exact science, if you get double the amount of cars, you'll typically have twice as many choices for what to use and a lot more variety of cars out on the grid in general. That's a good thing for the most part.

Its disappointing the game will likely have much less than previous games as it is. 50%(~300) would be something I could deal with. Less than that and its treading into 'they really should have delayed it' territory.

more would always be better for the reason you point out (choice), but IMO car counts definitely go into diminishing returns territory very quickly after say 100 cars or so, depending on the cars chosen to include of course. i'd rater the focus be elsewhere, like say in getting more tracks into the game.

real guess, between 200-250. 225.

Shit, I'm gonna be stuck with text only until I get back tonight.

Hopefully I can read some very detailed descriptions of what I'm missing :D

if positano is shown i'll convert images to ascii art for you :)

Edit: the limits of my ability to do this are as follows...

At the end of the day, people are going to flock to the same cars online anyways, what are you guys talking about.

There will be about 50 cars that everyone knows are competitive and those are the cars you'll see in the lobbies.

Cmon people lets not pretend that's the case, and sit around asking for 400 cars.

I'm pretty much always alone since FM2 online in driving the cars no one else wants. People ask me why am I driving this and that... the same people asking for 400 cars.

We all want the cars, okay. I'd love to see you USE them online though, don't talk about it, be about it. Why should they add cars if the LBs are full of only a handful of car varieties?

So, 200 cars on disc according to latest Showroom. Since it specifically says on disc, it shouldn't include the Day-one DLC, right ?

Exactly what I asked BADNED on Forza Central, hoping for some clarification soon.

200?

Lol!

20 Autovista level cars to 200 in two years time with brand new laser-scanned tracks, new physics engine, new lighting engine, new graphical engine, new AI engine and on a new console at launch? I'll take it. :D

Can't wait to play it.
