That can pass off as a real picture EASILY. What the hell man..

That's photomode though right? That isn't what the TG track is like in game... that is using a kind of .hdr file to render much Hypershot does. So everything is a real photo apart from the model.



Unless you tell me that's the in-game track... in which case my mind would be blown.

Or how about the lighting on the back bumper side issue while painting (too dark in FM3). Has Jube or anyone commented on that? I'm sure that has to have been addressed, but would be good to get confirmed.

I played quite a while last night. Spent a good amount of time in the paint booth transfering my 908 livery which is the hardest livery I could've chosen but I thought I'd just jump in the deep end. Here are some notes I took.

*Lighting in the paintbooth is awesome. You can finally see the rear of the car clearly.

*There are two pages of new community submitted vinyl shapes as well as all the old shapes.

*No new fonts and mostly the same manufacturer decals.

*Unexpectedly, old vinyls that looked jaggedy in FM3 are sharp and clean in the new game.

*One thing I was dissappointed about is that metalic paint shows thru vinyl layers worse than ever. This means I had to radically alter my 908 replica which used metalic base in FM3.

*I was also able to get my old camera settings to work in the new game surprisingly.

*Storefronts work the same as in FM3, still 18 slots for designs.

It's not perfect so don't expect that although I do believe Turn10 has owned Polyphony Digital this time. Well done lads.

Mclaren yes the Enzo has a ton of accuracy issues.

You should probably wait to see if you should buy a new version of the game if FM3 is any indication. Free DLC tracks in that game. Most likely due yo lack of storage space on the DVD. Who knows maybe they wont do that now so I suggest waiting.

Plus I think you would be stupid to buy used when sims are a dying breed of game especially on consoles. It's sorta sad that there won't be a console Race Pro with decent wheel support.

game looks great.

Really love the track detail. They definitively went the extra mile for the Top Gear track. even the trees are nearly identical. And most of the other tracks which I am not as familiar with they seem to cram a lot of stuff in there, The turn 10 environment modelers are in a league of there own.

The lighting is still exaggerated but definitively less cartoonie then 3 which is good. Then again They are nearly photo realistic with some of there photo mode areas like pic of the red TVR (?) on the top gear run way. Every video of gameplay I have seen of the TG track never looks that good or realistic. it still has the forza pop to it when your racing. but its no biggy. Photo area / home space looks better then in race graphics, news at 11.

Still I would say I am ok with the tone of the lighting now. it gives forza a unique enough look without making it look to realistic or cartoonie
