Anyone have any impressions of Redout? Looks like its getting a physical release.

Excellent futuristic racing game. A tiny bit weird to control at first, but you get to grips with it soon enough and it goes very very fast. More wipeout than f-zero. Great music, great visuals (on a beefy pc).

Not sure how it will be with no analogue triggers for acceleration but otherwise, I'd buy it for sure if I had a switch.

I hate when people say Xenoblade 2 wont make the 2017 release schedule. How often is Nintendo wrong about their own products release date?

It's looking likely with how Xenoblade X was released in Japan in April 2015 and other territories got it in December 2015.

Nintendo's mainly been iffy with Zelda titles with them being the biggest example of Nintendo stating a release date and Zelda not making it. They never state an exact date until they sure, but Breath of the Wild had been slated for 2016 and got moved to 2017. Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild have all been delayed.

Pre-ordered it, the lack of analogue triggers is annoying but what the hell Ill try it. Need more arcade racers.

Dunno if to make a thread talking about this or not but since the switch is coming out on March 3rd and stores are allowing game preorders it is safe to assume these prices are real for the games
http://m.gamestop.com/browse/search?searchTerm=Switch

Binding of Isaac for $40?
1-2-Switch which should have just been a pack in deal for $50
Bomberman $50...

But why this much?
They have those bundles as well from like $430-600+

The pricing of everything on Switch right now is just so crazy... As you say, 50$ Bomberman, 50 for 1 2 Switch, and now 40 for Binding of Isaac... a retail version is cool, but 40?!

I want a Switch but I feel everything on it is overpriced, and if I'm thinking that (I bought every new console on day one since the PS1 era) what will think the mass market? How can Nintendo succeed at such prices?

binding of isaac is in line with what you would pay elsewhere, I believe

Companies like to take advantage of launch schedule, when titles can stand out on their own more

LEGO Worlds looks awesome. I was considering picking up Minecraft for the NS, but maybe I'll get LEGO Worlds instead. I'll have to do some more research on it, I think.

Not interested in Lego Worlds but i'm curious to how it will run. There were times were Jurassic World on Wii U tanked in framerate.

This is pure speculation on my part, but it looks like the lead dev accidentally revealed this information when responding to a fan. It's weird it wasn't in a press release or something instead...

Edited my post to say "potentially" given what you said, ZSaber, and given what's discussed in this thread about this news item:

Switch, the portable open world BEAST. Can't wait to see how Lego world runs.

Weren't there rumors that Nintendo made Switch's hardware particulary favorable for open worlds? I don't even know "how" that can be tailored made, but it does seem like it's their new focus now. Nvidia optimisation tools? The NVN API helps with this maybe?

Lego World is confirmed 100%, Lego World Twitter said so, also one other official outlet from the company.

Now we get to add World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine to the Switch, and they're all releasing on 3/3, Switch Launch.

Also based on the other GAF thread, we have Cave Story & 1001 Spikes

Done.

Thanks! Btw 2 things. You have a typo with Arcade Archives, and I'd think Minecraft and Lego Worlds would be in the same category (since my understanding is that Lego Worlds is like Minecraft in terms of creation and what not).

Nightdive Studios' dev not too keen on Switch, might consider Turok 2 remake for Switch at some point

Also,

Squad now unsure if Kerbal Space Program will release on Wii U

This thread was made a while back, but we think it's necessary to shed some light regarding this topic... The industry landscape changed since we made that announcement. Although we were excited to release this port, external factors are forcing us to reevaluate if it is the right move for Kerbal Space Program. It is still to soon to give you a definite decision, so we'll give you more detailed information in the future.

I find it massively disappointing there's only 1 shooter and that's Splatoon, which isn't really a shooter.

Me too. I was thinking that i wish devil daggers would come on the switch, i haven't yet played the game holding off for a particle switch version.

Xenoblade Chronicles X's release date got pushed a lot, but I don't think Reggie ever used it as much as he's using Xenoblade Chronicles 2--he's talked about it in multiple interviews as an example of the breadth of the Nintendo line-up for the Switch. That, plus Soraya Saga seemed very confident that this was coming out this year.

I could see it being pushed back, but only into early next year and not like--holiday 2018.

This is not a great list. I know they could be revealing more in the future, but not counting the amazing looking Mario and Zelda, there is nothing to get really excited about.

agreed, Ive been on the fence about getting a switch. I have the money, but how much am I really going to play it outside of those games...urg decisions decisions lol

Does binding of isaac for Switch just have the afterbirth expansion? Do we know the price already? Haven't ever played it but think I'll like it.

It has the base game, Afterbirth and the new Afterbirth+. Scheduled for launch day in USA, $39.99 which is a few $ more than it costs to buy the game and DLCs on Steam.

Ah thanks although a bit more than what i was willing to spend. Thought of it as a cool but cheap downloadable game.

It's a very cool game with hundreds of hours of gameplay if it clicks with you.

Downloadable version may well be cheaper, but no less than $30 i'd imagine. There needs to be some parity across storefronts.
