Manmademan said:uh..leaving your wii "on" and having the Ps3 folding at 100% capacity for six solid weeks isnt even in the same ballpark, it's in a completely different league.
PistolGrip said:Dont stop folding. This is only one incident. plus you got a US PS3 so you'll have no problems.
Ranger X said:What the difference from other PS3s ??

My PS2 broke after I left it on for only a couple of days
TTP said:Get yourself an HDTV. I've heard PS3s get depressed and die when connected to an SD screen.
tanod said:You got a lot of catchin' up to do on the folding. I passed you a bit ago. Are you going to start again?
Cheesemeister said:Not while I've got the thought of up and moving to Japan in the back of my head... ^^;;;

No_Style said:Dude. Did they ever tell you why it died? Was it because of Folding@Home?
Good to see that there's a happy ending to this story though!

:'( That's a shame about your WU amount, Cheese.
Cheesemeister said:SCEA returned my PS3 unserviced, claiming on the enclosed form that they'd received the wrong item. Calling up customer service, they explained that the troubleshooting equipment used to repair systems are unable to operate on out-of-region consoles. Although this struck me as highly absurd, I was resigned to sending the PS3 back to Japan for service.
Upon getting off the phone with SCEJ after a too-long phone call in Japanese, I managed to arrange for one of my friends in Japan to relay the PS3 to Sony and back for me. He was even nice enough to upgrade Ouendan 2 for me while at it. So awesome.
A grand total of two months, nineteen days, and $157 in round-trip shipping later, my PS3 arrived back safely today. Welcome back, PS3.
Welcome back.
