Never realized someone who was nineteen could stan old man jay so hard.
I don't just stan old man Jay, I stan all era's Jay, this includes RD era Jay, Iceberg Slim, Jigga, Black Album Jay, Corporate KC Jay, pop/cool resurgence BP3 Jay, and old man art collector Jay.

Too many young people just see him as a goofy uncool dad smh .

im saying
Does age determine whether people can acknowledge the earth is round or the sky is blue?
Does age determine whether people can come to Christ for Christians?
No.
So why would my age determine whether I could accept my lord and savior Jayhova into my heart?

If it helps I used to stan Kanye as much as Jay which many young people do, it's just that Jay won the stanning battles inside of me over the past year or so.

Totes.
YungGang we in here.

dam interesting that you are a big jay fan since you are fairly young,

Never realized someone who was nineteen could stan old man jay so hard.

He has good taste, I even know 13 yr old fans of him and certain other rappers

Detroit is a creepy place; between all the boarded up / burnt out houses you drive past that are right up against the freeway on your ride from the airport and the ghost town of skyscrapers that is downtown... shit is whack. I stayed at the hotel in the GM tower once and it was surreal. You look out over the city form ~50 floors up and all you see is the giant signs of a couple casinos and strip clubs. There's a "food court" with like 2 open businesses and downtown is just in general fucking empty.

Anyone with a dollar in their pocket fled long ago to the plethora of nice neighborhoods outside the city proper.

Pros: Detroit is the name of Big Sean's best mixtape.

Cons: Detroit is Big Sean's city.

Pro: Danny Brown is from Detroit...

Con: His most acclaimed project depicts Detroit as two S&M cosplayers away from Mad Max land.

Pro: Eminem is from there.

Con: Eminem is from there.

Okay now I'm going to start talking like a normal human being.

Feeling dusty all of a sudden.

Been frequenting this site for 6 fucking years.

I relished in my ignorance for far too long, time to enter try hard gaffer mode.

Amir0x taught me well

I can't believe it's been almost four years since I joined. Time flies, breh.

Fuck!! 11 years on GAF for me!!

☹️

EDIT: Oh shit, it's 12 years!!

Damn should I listen to TPAB and GKMC one more time before the album drops, I did my pre-listen watch last Wednesday expecting it to drop Thursday night, guess I'm going to have to go again.

Classic otw.

detroit real cool, though still super rough. mom's family is from there, i visit a lot. the upswing is exponential, but it is still an upswing. there's lots of really cool shit tho.

Damn a lot of you guys making me miss the uni days. I'm 24, work in IT/Tech consulting. Started reading GAF around the launch of the Xbox 360. To be fair, age don't really mean anything because while I technically am an adult conducting business meetings acting all professional at the same time I'm not really? I still party hard (with copious amounts of drugs), have friends who still hang around in parks/car parks smoking weed, chat to girls who are 19 on Tinder (half your age add seven right? and they love the older working man), and I live with my parents. I do feel when I turn 25 going to have to start changing certain ways.

I'm essentially the same as 20 year old except with more money and less time. Video games not even once.

For real though, being 25, nothing makes me feel old like doing this. Priorities and perspectives change fast.

On topic: I need more tracks like 1Train.

You are right though. I'm just looking to beat but when I actually talk to them on a level, there is a disconnect.

I imagine there are plenty of neighborhood near it that you can commute to. It's no longer bankrupt, but it's still nowhere near the city it once was (and probably never will be).

thanks for the input. I'd be living in Warren. Been looking to do something new (been working full time in my college town for a year since I graduated, i need to go somewhere fresh regardless of where it is tbh) and the job is great $$$. If I end up hating it I'll leave after a year with more savings in my pocket

Damn, we really are seeing a generational shift in GAF-Hop. Many of the old heads (realistically like mid-to-late 20s lol) are dead banned and gone, though a few OGs are still rocking.

When I started posting here I was maybe 17 or something. Now I'm nearly 25 and almost done my Masters.

stay blessed y'all

I only feel old (I'm 25) when I go to shows. Luckily I'll continue to look 18 until I'm 35, so no worries. Being hit on my young college girls is starting to make me feel weird though, and only 60% not in my pants.

I'm in the same boat. Gonna have to ID when getting booze until I'm 40.

I stopped "aging" 5 years ago when I turned 22 which is fine because I get to keep my great hair while dudes my age are looking flabby and sick and bald.
