"the richness and expansiveness of Baldur's Gate".
I rike it.
Well, I do.
But what about the combat??? Surely that's the most important thing. Who give a f**k about horses?
Threadshitting: the Thread.
If you're so into the "DA2/FFFXIII/MGS4 sucked" routine that you don't want to play the sequel, I think it's been long enough that you can just go on with your business without crapping up every thread with new news about the sequel you don't want to play.
At this point it's almost like swinging by the comics thread and saying "I hate comics" or the Spanish thread and saying "I don't speak Spanish".
We were all hoping for L4D3
Got Bioware
Biggest disappointment ever.

Could have been Spark Unlimited.
1 2 ............... What comes after 2
10 year development cycle confirmed.
I have the exact opposite reaction lol. Was praying it wouldn't be L4D3. Being DAI is actually a pleasantly unexpected surprise. We were all hoping for L4D3

I'm 99% sure they're going after Skyrim instead, which had multiple player races, an open world, a variety of colors (though a bit muted), and horses. Can't help but feel a strong Witcher influence, game is much more colorful and open world (also horse, like TW3).

I mean, EA's business model revolves around targeting the largest games and trying to take market share.
Supposedly it will have information about combat. Hopefully more than a simple statement about how it's a blend of DA:O and DA2.
Which is why EA will always be an also-ran in terms of sales. People want the original, not the knock-off.
Episode 1, episode 2, inquisition, second son, 3.
Wasn't the sky opening with demons coming out the plot of Oblivion? I thought Demons were from the Fade in the DA universe.

Didn't EA/Bioware say part of their inspiration for this game was Skyrim? Could've sworn I recall reading that somewhere.

Wait. It says the game releases also on PS3 and 360. Is this new?
.I think with Dragon Age, were pushing all five platforms as far as we can. Just right to the edge of their breaking point, the developers said. There are things were seeing in Dragon Age in terms of what you can do as a character, moving around in the environment, and this incredible level of interactivity. Were working on Frostbite, were all sharing technology, and building something really special together.
Looks like Varric and Cassandra.
That didn't look isometric.
Anyone else kind of feel like developers are going to be spreading themselves too thin with 5/6 different versions of most big games announced for the next 12ish months? I know they need to maximise profits, but it also feels like we're going to have compromised games all over the place.
