fantastic

Guys come on, this is an exciting fan theory. If Bran can warg into Longclaw, he can sit around doing fuck-all for entire centuries at a time rather than mere months or years.

People downplaying the death of a dragon, really?
Not only is it a huge loss for Dany, but now the Night King has his own dragon (and nobody is even aware of this yet so they will be taken by surprise). This has huge implications.

Yes they bitch and moan about no deaths in the episode when we had 3 and one of them was the most sad one in the entire show to me, the way they did it was so sad and unexpected to me. Poor dragon. Benjen i agree it was a shit dead and they could have handled better. Like showing him watching the dragons passing the wall and he thinking there would be trouble and follow the dragons for example arriving late to the scene and saving jon.

I dont understant people wanting main characters to die, they wanted Jora to die but they would be bitching about it saying they made him find a cure to die in 2 episodes later. Or Tormund dying , they would be moaning and bitching they would never see him and Brienne again, or if the Hound would die they would be bitching he didnt get revenge against The mountain. They want final season with jon alone fighting the white walker with no amy or friends i guess.

They bitched about slow paced Arya in the faceless men arc and now they bitch show is too fast.

They bitch about the writing is shit now when 3 episodes ago it was the best ever after the old lady and Jamie. How the fuck people say the writing is worse now when we had epic scenes like bran "chaos is a ladder ", cercei and the snakes ( Probably the best acted scene in GoT and Ellaria Sand didnt speaked a single word ), this flip flop of the fans is hilarious.

One day danny is the best other day " fuck danny, danny is evil, i want cercei to kick her ass !!! " ... sigh

Rant over of me bitching about people bitching.

Yeah, the Benjen death was probably the most annoying thing out of the episode for me.

He would've been the perfect candidate to bring back as "evidence". Have the crew go out, fail miserably against the army of the dead and realize how dumb the plan was. Have Benjen come in to help them escape, and they convince him to go to KL with them. He fulfills his "purpose" for staying alive.

It gives his arc some meaning, satisfies the stupid "proof" angle for Cersei, and also removes the dumb capture the wight scenes. I guess you don't get an ice dragon out of it, but whatever. Maybe have Dany come in anyway to provide air support and have her lose the dragon as part of the retreat.

I hate that they have them doing this from the driver's seat. Seems like a recipe for eventual disaster.

I would not be surprised if they are actually being towed and are fake driving. You can see in some spots they have police vehicles blocking off traffic and escorting them too.

That would've been cool. Especially since he's been gone for 6 seasons. I really hoped there was more to his arc.

But maybe actually he was brought back by the Lord of Light to only save Bran and then Jon Snow. It works but could have been grander.

Benjin cant cross the wall.

Bonus: you can have Benjen rescue Jon and ride him back to the Wall. Jon asks him to go with them to meet with Cersei, and he tells them that he can't go any further than the Wall.

Then they arrive and he realizes he can pass through now. Jon's elated; Ben explains how he is Jon Snow and knows nothing, and Winter has come to the North.

Could Benjen have survived that? If he's similar to the white walkers then maybe he can only be killed by dragon glass? Seems so pointless bringing him back after all these years for two scenes.

Oh, I kinda remember that mentioned. Why is that again?
Undead can't cross cus of the magic runes carved into its foundation by the children of the forest. It was assumed Bran broke the runes once he crossed it since he was marked but now it seems like that didn't happen and now he's just flying over it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Wight they brought with them gets loose and starts an outbreak in Kings Landing.

Also, the Winterfell stuff just doesn't seem very well thought out.
-- Arya feels like she's being... petty.
-- Sansa is being stupid
-- Bran has magically vanished
-- Everyone is forgetting that the central point of the entire conflict is information from Littlefinger.

Oh, and fuck Sansa for trying to take all of the credit for the Battle of the Bastards.

Saw this on Reddit.
HBO Now/Go continues to be shit.

It's honestly how bad they're about this with their shows, the thumbnail has spoiled a bunch of things while I watch The Sopranos. Also, it's the worst player ever.

My theory is that Valyrian Steel is made by forging Dragonglass with dragonfire.

HBO GO is fine. Not sure about NOW

Their not zombies. This is necromancey, the dead need to be risin no bites = zombie.

How far is the Night Kings influence/reach? The White Walkers seem to operate on kind of hivemind level, if the Wight in Kings Landing killed someone maybe the Night King could sense it and resurrect the victim as another Wight.

I thought the episode was amazing. Going for more spectacle during the final stretch is OK for me, we had enough politics when it was human vs human. Now there are dragons, Undea and stuff roaming the lands, no time for much more politics and I guess it will be even less during Season 8.
I also hate the term plot armor, yeah, some characters survive incredible odds, but why not, it is still a fantasy story. Sam surviving the encounter with the Wright and his whole trip north of the wall was just as unrealistic as Jon surviving the stuff he does right now. If they kill off a main character every episode we wont have much left in the finale.
It is also a bit overstated that they killed of main characters ALL THE TIME during the first seasons, the last time a REALLY big (surprising) death hit was Ron, Cat and Joffrey, who all died within a few episodes.

With that said, someone is gonna die in the season finale ;)

This, ffs why people keep thinking a bite can trasnforme a guy into a wight? How the fuck these guys commenting for the IGNs and other shows dont know this shit when they say they are super fans.

If he could raise the dead in King's Landing there's no particular reason he wouldn't have just brought the dead back from a major casualty event (see: one of the many wars, Cersei's terrorist antics, Joffrey's average Friday night) and gotten this dark party started right.

Wait, if WW can't cross the wall, why are they so concerned with them in the first place? I mean, it's a raw deal for the wildlings I guess, but the rest of the kingdoms should be safe. They can just surround the wall with flames and keep the wights out, too. But now the WW have a friggin' ice dragon that would make for a real good battering ram...

To raise the dead? Who knows, but I dont think its continental otherwise he could raise all the westeros dead from his ice palace.

Maybe he needs a Wight or White Walker in the area in order for him to have some kind of influence over his necromancy? I dunno, I'm just pulling random ideas out of my ass plus the Night Kings abilities have never really been fleshed out

They seem to be operating under the assumption that The Wall is going to fail, which isn't a terrible plan. Plus Jon has already seen a Wight beyond the wall.

You say that now, but how close were we to undead werebear Thoros?

Why?

That doesnt matter. The show laid out the rules, you die within the reach of the white walker magic you can be reanimated, unless your body is burned.

That's exactly what I'm saying. The Hound got bit and nothing happened to him.

I lost a friend to a distracted driver many many years ago so maybe I'm just super sensitive about this kind of thing.

I'm sorry.

To answer your concern more seriously, they were driving at immensely slow speeds, for a lot of the video they were completely standing still even. This kind of city driving is super common in TV, and is frequently done on many "tonight's" shows. You've got at least one car in the front and one in the back from the production. And even then, the driver, Sophie, didn't seem more distracted than your average driver really. There's no reason for concern in this scenario.

Why does this have to be fan fic? GRRM is just some glorified edgelord writer anyway. Its fucking hard to keep up constant pain and suffering and still tie up loose ends. Logical endings are not bad.

how is that a logical ending? I mean. If the dragons are the only children that Dani can have. It is logical that a mother over-exposure her sons to save some random dude she just met? And beside that, How is logical to go catch a Zombie to demonstrate Cersi that "shit got real", so they can fight all together against a common enemy knowing who Cersi is. And the most important thing how is logical that the dragon (zombie or not) obey the Night King if he (presumably) doesn't have dragon blood in his veins? - writing this just make me think of something... maybe the NK is a Targaryen.

This an a lot of other things in the show are made for the sake of fan service. And that is not bad at all. I like it. There are good fan fiction out there. ;).

I mean, from a logistical perspective, when winter comes there will presumably be super casual ice bridges that form to allow them to bypass the wall on foot, considering it doesn't cover the ocean.

From an in-setting perspective, they seem to be working under the assumption the Night King has or can find a way to destroy the Wall.
