If I had heard the name "LittleBigPlanet" and nothing else, I would've assumed it was either a Populous-style strategy game or, alternatively, an EcoQuest-style edutainment game from the 90s.
Chrono Trigger sounds like it should be a shooter (think Timesplitters.)
Monday Night Combat sounds like a wrestling game.
Bust-A-Move sounds like a rhythm game, not helped by the existence of Bust-A-Groove, which actually is (and is even named Bust-A-Move in Japan.)
"Zelda: Twilight Princess" sounds like a Barbie game to someone who doesn't know what Zelda is.
Minecraft could have just as easily been an RTS along the lines of Warcraft and Starcraft set in the near future and based around rival factions building underground empires.
