I had the same issues! I just went back to the controller in Concept and the demo before the wheel was destroyed. I dunno what to do about my lack wheel now, probably buy something in the new year.

So, how in the hell are you supposed to get the best time on Suzuka with the Swift?

The Time Trial mode obviously doesn't go online yet, so I've nothing to compare my times against. Is 1.04 a good time for London in the Elise?

I swear this game reminds me of why I love and *hate* Gran Turismo at the same time.

I'm doing the mission race in the C class, and I *barely* missed the lead by 0.28 seconds.... all my other tries are at least 0.5 seconds off. It was only good for 3rd place too :lol

I'm not sure what else I can possibly do to shave off more time. From my perspective I literally have to run the perfect lap to nail it.

I'm pretty sure I have to hit at least 225kph out of the first turn to stand a chance, and have to try + keep 250kph out of the second turn to even get a shot at 4th.

Havn't been following this much but can I just ask if Prologue allows you to move the camera around in the cockpit view whilst driving?

Yeah, you can move in 4 directions with a wheel, and to any degree left and right with the controller. And obviously look behind.

Just got 3 golds to get,

A-class Fuji R32 Timetrial, silver 0.7s off target.
S-class Eiger Reverse Viper Timetrial 0.080s off target (****.)
S-class Daytona Roadcourse M3 Timetrial 1.391s off target

Eiger Reverse is annoying as hell!!!!

don't you know you can't mention lack of damage in a gt thread on gaf? it always degenerates into the 2 camps. those that say it doesn't add anything to the game unless the car disintegrates and rolls over and stuff and those that say it's vital to the genre.

no need to revisit that shit

i'm in camp 2 but that's just me

Can I play it in more than a PS3 at the same time (if both PS3 downloaded the game using the same user)?

I'm not going to pay U$50 (price of a PSN card here in brazil) to play a demo... but if it's U$10 I'll.

What are the game modes for now? Do the japanese language is a problem or I'll be able to understand what the buttons do (in the menus, eg: sell a car, buy, change color, enter events stc)

interga on Daytona, basically take the lead from the 16th position )

I've been working on the A class stuff today and man the AI seems improved a lot I also like the penalties which keep me somewhat honest. Are the S class races even crazier because ive had to work to win races in A class

S-class is minimum 10min races (Suzuka is a 20min affair, 10laps!)! You'll need consistency and patience.

Just did a quick comparison with Concept of the new Eiger with improved driving physics.

Car is 599 GTB Fiorano, all aids off, Manual, DS3

Concept: 1:08.124

GT5P (Standard): 1.06.581

GT5P (Professional): 1:10.970

In Prologue standard is far too easy, the 599 is a breeze to handle. I was missing how it felt in Concept. Switch to Pro and the tail-happy Ferrari of old is back with a vengeance. I can definitely improve my Pro time, I think the gap should be about 3seconds between both modes.

EDIT: When leaderboards come online I'm expecting 599 (Standard) top time to be ~1:04.XXX, the Irish player Ascari and the French user Driverx (599 specialist!) should be heading the times like they did on PAL, if they both have the game.

Will it take the Time Trial times we're doing now, or will it be a separate thing? I assume there'll be a time per track per car.
