There's no local multiplayer, and DLC suits are sold individually for £3.99 here. They're not required for online, but I've heard some of them are good, and they've not announced how many they're gonna sell yet.

Did you spend money to unlock all the champs in LoL too?

I mean, this is 2017. 90 suits out of the box is extremely generous, my only real complaint is there's no way to test drive suits in practice mode before you buy them.

Glad to see I'm not uniquely affected by my preorder bonus code not working. That means that I don't need to sit on the phone with customer service, it's just a thing that they're working on.

The dlc was spread out for the jp release but this being a "worldwide" game, they couldn't just spread out the dlc for other regions as it would create more of an disadvantage.

Yeah they should definitely add this. They added the feature in EXVSFB so it's possible they will eventually here.

That'd be cool. Although I'm only really missing Burning and Master Gundam. Getting Fuunsaiki as a transport move like what Hyaku Shiki has would be sweet.

My NA copy arrived this morning. I'm focused on Sen no Kiseki III right now but after I'm done with that gonna get more time in.

I really like the new buffs/nerfs in the JP version. Nice to see some of the weaker units get a bit better.

Anyone else's NA copy come with a paper ad about the Gundam Wing blurays and the other Gundam releases by Rightstuf? Thought that was a nice touch and a way to let curious people that buy this game know there's more Gundam out there.

Now that the US release is out I tried playing last night for the first time in a month or two and set it on worldwide, but was haven't a tougher time finding matches than during the JP release which makes no sense? Casual 2v2 was ok, but I couldn't get a 3v3 match for the life of me and couldn't get a ranked 2v2 shuffle match either.

So is the Altron good in this?

I did ok with it a few months ago. It's pretty fun to use with the claw arm. Not as fun as the Ex Vs eletric flags everywhere EW version, but still solid. One of my favorite Gundam Versus moments was winning the match with an assist of a claw arm extending an hitting an opponent right as my partner finished combo-ing them in mid-air.

We didn't get the Premium G Sound version, but we have the same tracks as the normal game which has a few vocal tracks.

Everything else is the same.

SFV has like 12 so far, but you earn them with FM. And it's spread over two years. It's not the number by itself, it's the amount in such a short time without any form of a discount for buying in bulk.

Edit: Ohh you mean characters in general. No, there isn't. But again, when you have good suits sitting behind DLC, it doesn't matter how many suits you haven't currently (and let's be fair here, there are a bunch of grunts shitting in my MS list, even if I think Doan's melee based stuff is sick and Dom is pretty good). It's not like I'm asking for it to be free, I'm simply asking for a lower price in a bundle or something manageable. My locals won't even host the game because we want the stations to carry all of the DLC, and even though it's only four, it's not happening.

put in the premium version and its was a patch I needed to download....so I started the game without it and went into an infinite demo mode where the original Gundam theme was on a loop...

Gundam HQ has these neat 'Is it worth it?' videos on youtube for each of the DLC suits.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell whether they're on the mark, however.

In a regular fighting game with like 20ish completely unique characters? Sure. But in this a lot of suits overlap what they can do. I'd like if they would have included the already released DLC, but you're not at any meaningful disadvantage by not having them.

I don't play league of legends but what's wrong with the overwatch model?

Extremely generous are you kidding me?! They somehow made a worst roster in this game than they did in the original version of gundam extreme vs on the PS3 and that had like a third the number of suits.

Yeah I was in that for about 6 minutes, and this is after I installed both the game and the patch.

Got to play a few casual 2v2 matches before work, dropped some FREEDOM on some unsuspecting newcomers. And only one game had lag.

I mean... a competitive edge doesn't mean much to the casual appeal (though I know you were responding to a post concerned about the competitive angle). Some people just want everything available to mess around with without being thoroughly nickle & dime'd.

However the fact that there is indeed a degree of overlap in some movesets seems like it would lead to lower prices per suit, not higher. Beyond that, there's still a lot of ways in which a competitive meta can shape up, where suit specialists or counters can arise out of unexpected corners of the cast.

I'm using the Hori Fightpad and like it a lot. For whatever reason, the double tap for boost dash never clicked with me on a fight stick (admittedly I'm bad with them anyway).

I got a chance to try some Ultimate Battle during lunch today and I actually had a lot of fun getting pulled into coop matches as I was making my way through. Will probably be doing a lot more of that.
