I edited my post to add this bit, but decided to just make another post:
In my opinion Forge maps shouldn't be a substitute for real maps. Yet there is 8 Forge maps implemented across the playlist. As there are 11 original maps implemented across the playlist.
In Team Slayer (the most populated playlist in Reach, correct me if wrong) there are:
7 Original/Non-forged Maps:
Anchor 9
Arena Zealot
Boardwalk
Powerhouse
Reflection
Sword Base
Tempest
7 Forged Maps:
Asylum
Atom
Cliffhanger
Countdown
Pinnacle
The Cage
Uncaged
But if the people you play against or with don't have the Noble Map Pack you're left with five maps:
Arena Zealot
Boardwalk
Powerhouse
Reflection
Sword Base
And if this is the case the end result is that Forge maps will come up more often on average beating out the Original/Non-forged map count by two.
I don't know how well the Noble Map Pack sold, but I know for sure not everyone has it, I think that if they'd remake fan favorites, they'd have more guaranteed purchases and it would result in more people playing newer, non-Forged maps.

Don't get me wrong, forged remakes of old maps aren't nearly the same as the originals.

4 people can now play reach on my console, my brother broke my controller by dropping it on the bumper, turns out i needed to take it apart and put some hot glue on the tip of the plastic nub that hits the button internally. Simple fix.
The hard part was getting those security screws out. I did it with a flat head anyways

Reach's biggest mistake was handing the MP reigns over to someone who literally had no clue what made it so great. The entire spectrum of the sandbox is so much fail it's amazing. From sprinting melee garbage to DMR's blowing up vehicles in seconds, I'm continually stunned every time I play.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded Xbox Connect for the first time in probably 7 years, and to my surprise, not a single person was playing Halo 1. However, there were 16 servers with people playing Halo 2, so I think my week's goal is to try and play a few games to see what it's like.

That. The netcode was bad. Especially for me. Every game was laggy. Okay I got lesser black screens but I want to play lagfree. I have a lot of fun when I play Reach(except the whole enemy team uses only AL. But I guess every HaloGaffer hate this situation.).
