Looks surprisingly awesome. Hopefully nov release is real.
Can Skyrim be played entirely in third-person?
You can't seriously compare 3DS and Switch as if they're 1 generation apart. The 3ds graphics belong in the early 2000s.
Of course an insane leap after more than a decade of graphics technology.
Not technology wise. They're not.
Generation is a measure of time. Nothing more, nothing less. Not technology wise. They're not.
So, any confirmation that it's the Remastered version, or base? A mix of both?
Can't watch the video yet
People get 100-200 hours out of it lol, worth a buy.
It still boggles the mind how much handheld tech has improved. I mean if you compare 3DS to Switch, purely as handhelds, the gap is truly staggering.
We've gone from this:
To this:
Sure it may not be impressive compared to Uncharted, but as a generational leap in handhelds... It's fricking insane.
It would be more genuine to compare the Vita to Switch, but even then Switch stomps the crap out of it, very impressive from Nintendo.
... Intriguing 🤔

I mean....I guess its cool to have it on the go, but I can't say I've been waiting around since 2011 wishing I had a portable Skyrim.

I mean, 3DS was underpowered from the get go. I'd love to see some Vita vs Switch screens. No doubt Switch is a jump from that tho.
What? No, the 3DS doesn't have better graphics than PS2

It sucks, though.
Neither have I, but big RPGs are great to have in portable form. I never finish them on stationary consoles, but having hardware that allows me to play them in 30-45 minute bursts whenever/wherever increases the chances I will significantly. My most recent example is Dragon Quest VIII. I played 40 or so hours of the PS2 version and never finished it, but put 90+ hours into the 3DS version and finished pretty much everything including the post game hall of champions fights (or whatever they're called).I mean....I guess its cool to have it on the go, but I can't say I've been waiting around since 2011 wishing I had a portable Skyrim.

It's not as powerful but it can handle more modern effects. Resident Evil Revelations would not have looked as good on the PS2. Few games really took advantage on the hardware in a way that made it look superior to the PS2 unfortunately.
No, the 3ds beats the ps2 in almost every measure except resolution. The dual arm11 processor and dedicated graphics card beats the EE and VUs.
If it has mod support like the Xbo but less of them due to memory than I'll buy it day one, I doubt mod support is in though.Haven't heard anything about mod support for this version, correct?
The 3DS and PSVita wasn't actually a full generation apart. The geometry rendering for the 3DS, for example, was a bit under the range of the GCN (3D rendering used up half of the GPU), while PSVita was still within range of the PS2/GCN/XBox era. Uncharted: Golden Abyss was stated to have over 260000 polygons per frame @ 30fps at, which is 7.8 million polygons/sec. That game also ran at 720 x 408, which is 56% of PSVita's native resolution. In comparison, the GCN was stated to handle 6-12 million polygons/sec. PSVita's modern shaders capabilities and efficient design pushed it to render visuals much closer to the consoles, though. It would be more genuine to compare the Vita to Switch, but even then Switch stomps the crap out of it, very impressive from Nintendo.
Wow. I didn't know you can play 3rd person. I thought it was always first person.Yeah and I think it plays well in 3p. There a button mapped to toggle it and I switch frequently when I play.

I wouldn't go that far.Looking at gameplay it's blowing my mind that a game this big is running on a portable console. I feel like in a lot of ways smartphones were a blessing in disguise for Nintendo. They catapulted mobile processing growth to the point where this is possible.

Why doesn't this has a release date yet?

I didn't know we had footage of the game since July. I'm curious about the performance and glitches this port will bring.
