Dengeki PlayStation this week reveals the latest entry in the Super Robot Wars series to be 3rd Super Robot Wars Z Jigoku Henfor PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

Due out on April 10 in Japan, the game offers 32 participating works. It will feature cross save across PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. It consists of two parts and will be the last chapter in the Z series.

The PlayStation 3 version will cost 8,070 yen, and the PS Vita version will cost 7,121 yen. First-print copies include a high-def remake of the first generation Super Robot Wars. The HD remake will also be released separately on April 24 for 1,204 yen.

So yeah, SRW Z3 is now getting a retail release on Vita. Originally it was going to be DD-only due to size constraints. It'll be out the same day as the PS3 version is.

They've been behind the ball on console games this generation and seeing how the PS3 has had three SRW titles in the last year, I'd say it's a PS3 game. Or Vita. Or both.

Yep, but they said they were working on a SRW since Vita Heaven and I don't think it was Masou Kishin 3... so it's maybe that unannounced title. They took a long time to make SRWOG2nd after all.

Then again, I said the same thing of the Z engine and Z came out pretty late in the life of PS2. I guess they could downport that OG2 engine on Vita.

It was but it's not like the original SDF Macross plot would fit into SRW story untouched. So it really wouldn't be at all different from what it already was in alpha.
